It didn't help that guys like Tim and I were very busy and we didn't do enough preparation for it. We usually also have at least one more draft before the official mock as well.

Honestly, I thought I was going to be too busy for this, now that you mention it....Between bad weather in Ohio, and things going smooth at work, I had way more time than I anticipated. It was fun.
He had to get them out there in all their glory with the full spectrum of colors, complete with the UDFA's..... Nice work... The UDFA section (also dominated by the silver and black) might be my favorite part....
It really gets you thinking about those 5 'other' guys who if brought into camp might just steal that last roster spot from somebody
RT and I, I think signed multiple guys we were gonna auto in the 7th that we thought should have been drafted earlier before Will and Tim came on and picked themselves.
Watching Warren Moon bio on NFL Channel....That dude could sling it as well as anybody ever did. Don't mean to get nostalgic but how do you not when you have this channel? The Michael Vick bio was on before this. That was unreal....My kids were too young when all that dog stuff went down. They both hate him now...
I think the Redskins draft did a great job of trying to make the best of the shit sandwich they were served. But I really dig that Panthers draft.
The New York Giants 1.6 Kyler Murray QB 1.17 TJ Hockenson TE 2.15 Chase Winovich EDGE 3.15 David Long, Jr. LB 4.6 Jaquan Johnson S 4.30 Bobby Okereke LB 5.4 Oli Udoh OT 5.5 Kendall Sheffield CB 5.9 Myle Boykin WR 6.7 Ryquell Armstead RB 7.31 Saquan Hampton S 7.40 Sutton Smith LB UDFA Marcus Applefield, OG, UVA UDFA Brian Fineanganofo, OT, Idaho State I went into this draft feeling good about my offensive line after locking in a RT and the trading Vernon for a guard. I felt comfortable knowing that Bridgewater would be fine to march out as a starter this season (cutting Eli made finding a bridge important) if I couldn't get my hands on Haskins or Murray. Then at 17 I simply went BPA in Hock -- who I think is a top 10 type talent. He will be the glue that holds a Kyler Murray / Saquan Barkley offense together. After that I basically went all in on defense at every level. I am injecting speed and youth as much as I can with this draft. Bettcher wants his defense to play fast and they should be able to fly around now... Late round picks I generally think of as special teamers that can maybe show more but I was really surprised how good I felt about some of these guys available pretty late this year. You might be getting pretty solid year one contributors in R3 and 4 this year... The three lineman are all athletes that hit Gettleman's marks for mid to late round guys -- he has a pretty good history of identifying developmental O-line talent so I took a page out of his playbook on that one. Giants are not going to be a great team in 2019 -- but I am trying to make them a fast and fun team with enough talent to really complete come 2020.
I'm a big believer in this philosophy, especially in the earlier rounds. The worst thing a GM can do in the draft is reach.
Honestly I was torn between him and going defense. Ultimately I figured to hell with it he was the best guy on my board. Plus having a guy like Hock on the roster is only going to make Murray's welcome to the NFL smoother.
I arguably did with the Eagles in the first with Thompson but I felt that he may not make it much longer if someone else likes him and he seems to fit the type of safety I was looking for in this exercise. No other player may be all over the board from 1st to 4th round as him.
Nice job...Wow, you had a lot of picks. Hockenson and Sheffield are my favorites. EDIT: Nice job getting the 2nd best UofM D-lineman...
I definitely went that way on all three Raider first rounders. Certainly easy enough when you got this roster to deal with. lol! How could i miss? I honestly think two things are almost certain to happen on draft day...Murray goes #1. And somebody trades up to #2 for Haskins. I really thought it was gonna be the Giants, but now I'm not as certain.
LOL I guess that's what happens when you trade Beckham, Vernon, Snacks and a former first round CB all within 6 months of deciding Eli was going take you to the playoffs if you could just get him a running back... You wind up with a lot of picks...
I would be SHOCKED if Gettleman moved up for a QB this year. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if he passed on a QB at 6 in order to take Devin White or an edge rusher. I am preparing myself for Daniel Jones at 17... I just keep hoping the Rosen rumors are true and the Giants are in play...
