Ah, the Tayla Harris pic. That one caused a surprising bit of fuss down under. I'm a huge Aussie Rules fan. In the last couple of years, they've added a women's league. It's a bit boring compared to the men's game mainly because the league is so new. Kind of like comparing the early days of MLS to the Bundesliga or EPL - some players are actually pretty good, but the back half of all the rosters are filled out with players that, in NFL terms, look like they were drafted by Matt Millen and coached by Hue Jackson. (You could see the overall skill level this year was better than last year, but there's still a lot of room for improvement.) Tayla Harris is one of the legits. The TV network posted this pic on their web site. And naturally it drew a significant number of offensive comments. Rather than moderating the comments, they pulled the pic from the web site. THAT is what started the controversy, as many of the players were upset that they had given in to the trolls. This was the tweet from the network when they decided to put it back up.
Effective immediately, I can no longer serve as a Moderator for this mock draft. I simply don't have the temperament. I did sign up to participate in the GMO exercise and I will honor that commitment to include participating in the remainder of this draft and UDFA selections.
I'm just gonna say you did a great job. I wish I could have done more but I've been busy and if I hold off on some stuff for too much I'll be swamped during the official mock. I should be on a bit more to help. I know I haven't been able to update the board much.
