Jets also offer ERFA contracts to: Jeremy Clark CB (645,000) Benjamin Braden OT (570,000) Deontay Burnett WR (570,000)
In case it needs doing (happened so close to roster lock IRL), the Cowboys franchise tag DE Demarcus Lawrence
Patriots will keep the band together for one more run and restructure QB Tom Brady +$10.376M S Devin McCourty +$6.456M TE Rob Gronkowski +$6.656M However Adrian Clayborn will not be part of the tour. Pats cut Clayborn and save $3.9375M Patriots new cap space figure $33,203,521
I believe this is the only move the Eagles have officially made that has not been official here, minus the Peters deal, which doesn't really matter for this exercise. I will copy. Nate Sudfeld, QB Assigned a 1 year $3.095 million tender by Philadelphia (PHI) I believe all other ERFAs have already been officially signed before this date and Nate is the only RFA remaining.
Doing this for the Chargers but they'll take care of their own open FA. Trevor Williams given Original Tender $2,025,000 contract with the Los Angeles Chargers Cole Taner $645,000 ERFA signing Isaac Rochell $570,000 ERFA signing
Along those lines, the real life Falcons had put the franchise tag on Grady Jarrett right before the roster lock. If anyone's wondering why I didn't do it here, it's because it was already done.
The Cleveland Browns have restructured the following player contracts; Olivier Vernon - Savings = $7,285,000 Kevin Zeitler - Savings = $6,046,667 {edited 3/17/19}
Cowboys restructure contract of Sean Lee (done in real life, just replicated) Save $3,500,000 Extend WR Amari Cooper 19’ Cap Savings $9,100,000
I guess I dont know how to interpret the "Extend" function on Over the Cap. Just for shits and giggles, I ran it for Amari Cooper to see if I got the same number. The savings I got when I ran it for Cooper was in excess of $10M. ($10,495,200 to be precise) Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? How many years do they extend a player?
Kind of glad you bring up the question. You're doing it right. On none of my restructures for Dallas or Washington have I taken 100% of the savings. The thought process on my part is anything I save now is going to be a detriment to us in the future. So I'm creating the savings we need now, while trying to leave a little extra flexibility for future years, even if it does appear to be a small difference, like $1-$2 million. Cap room is cap room
The Cleveland Browns have extended the contract for: Damarious Randle Cap value was: $9,069,000 New value is: $2,457,780 Savings = $6,611,200 This is the third of three Restructuring/Extensions allowed.
