even after the game the kid was bitter. he said he had another silver medal from the WJ from before and he never looked at it, so basically he wouldn't look at the one he tossed away - even though he got it back. yeah you lost, but only 3 teams medaled man. be happy with that.

 

I want him on my team.

 

maybe that's why the LEAFS haven't won a Cup since 1970 ? bwhahahahahahahaha

Some of these guys are joking and laughing after a loss. They're talking about what bar to hit,a guy like that would put them in their place.

 

I think the 67 guys would kill someone who tossed their medal away. could you imagine if the canadians in the 70's played in the Olympics and Orr or Clarke tossed their silver medal away? it's pride and country man. they would get killed for that.

 

Those were adults in different times,mind you, there were players that wouldn't shake hands like cheevers. This is an 18 year old kid.

Yeah, that's what my dad always used to say to me, you should know better. Throwing the silver is symbolic, it's saying, I want to win. Maybe sometime in the future he'll lead a team to the SC and they'll show that clip. We'll be watching as grey haired old farts and remember that day.
