That kid Gerard’s last run was awesome. When I hear his name I think of UMaine coach Red Gendron.

Red Gerard's family was 'shotgunning beers at 8:30 a.m.' before gold-medal win



"I"m sure it's a ton," Gerard responded when asked about how much fun his family was having at the Olympics, according to Adam Kilgore of The Washington Post. "I'm pretty sure I saw a video of them shotgunning beers at 8:30 a.m., so I'm pretty sure they are doing just fine."

Canadian-born South Korean goalie Matt Dalton proudly wears the national flag of his adopted country at the back of his mask. And on the left side of it is the image of Admiral Yi Sun-shin, a legendary Korean naval commander from the 16th century best known for a victory over Japan in 1597.
Unfortunately for Dalton, the admiral's drawing is a no-go at the PyeongChang Winter Games, as far as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is concerned.
The IOC has deemed the image political and forced Dalton to remove it, based on an article under the Olympic Charter that states, "No kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda is permitted in any Olympic sites, venues or other areas."


USA Hockey had to go to bat to have the IOC allow their goalies to have the Statue of Liberty on their masks.

amazing run by S. White. I know he didn't even medal in Sochi so he has a lot to prove here. Everytime I see the snowboarding on the tv menu, I turn the channel to it and it's the damn curling events.
