I don't have the tweets or article, but Hue Jackson said "you see Orson Charles as a TE. He is a fullback". Let the record note, that he is listed as TE and not FB and wears #82. I would think something is going to be up. Why the hell do you wave (an injured) LB where you are already thin and add ANOTHER TE? I would think to get Brown reps and get used to seeing the field a week in advance of being active on game days.

Clearly, humor is lost on the "I would personally take a bullet for Hue Jackson" crowd.

To be clear, my "bias" is wanting the Browns to be the best team they can be. The antithesis of that seems to be "Glorious Leader Hue had to deal with Sashi "The Savior" Brown and John Dorsey and cannot be held responsible for his own multitude of failures as a coach, coordinator, and developer of young talent. All praise Glorious Leader, Hue!"

My "crusade" is a Super Bowl win. Yours is... ?

Again... an attempt at levity is obviously misguided here. Zeke Elliott is without a doubt the best pass-blocking running back in the NFL. My jest is that even the best of the best can only do so much.

    Truth through objectivity.

Objectively speaking, Hue Jackson is 3-35-1. Objectively, that's the worst record in the history of the sport.

Browns add an athletic, hybrid linebacker. I kinda like this move.

If he goes 7-2 in the second half of the season, he will move ahead of Rod Marinelli ;)

Actually, both posts are ludricrous. 1.) The Browns won't go 7-2 in the second half of the season - and - Belichick won't lose 1,070 games.

But they both point to the real root cause of Browns' fans angst. Hue Jackson DID, in fact, register a 1-31 record over the 2016 and 2017 seasons. THAT is what has folks panties in a bunch.

I admit I don't know too much about this guy. What's the scoop on him?

I mean, I don't expect him to start or challenge any of the other guys... but we're woefully thin at linebacker (and especially linebackers with athleticism).

Armstrong was a highly-recruited HS prospect and in one of those "way too early" mock drafts he was pegged in the Top 10 or 15 picks, I believe. Had some eligibility issues at Miami (forget exactly what) but ended up undrafted and bounced around a couple teams.

A very clear Dorsey move: questionable character but plus-athlete.

Yes, but Hue only has to win 82 games in a row to get to Bill's percentage, which he could do in about 5 seasons... :p

    Doubt THAT happens either. :nownow:

First time action has been taken this era.

Maybe they'll finally stop screwing the Browns?

    Nah...

It's kind of sad that Corey Coleman elicits calls of tanking by an entire team.

I told ya that was that was an inexcusable miss...Thought maybe we were gonna see "bottlegate 2" at halftime when the refs tried to run off the field.

I don't care that they fired the guy. I just want a "fair" game called. It's getting old, being the league whippinng post. Keep your apologies, just call the game blind to the team colors.

Exactly. WTH does that do for us?

The thing is, Mr Cruz absolutely deserves the firing. If I were his boss, I'd be very suspicious of a non-call like that. It still pisses me off. What was his excuse for missing it? That's what I'd like to know. What about the other refs that were standing right there? They can't get their flags out?? I'm serious when I say 70,000 people saw Okung jump early. How could the only ones that didn't see it, be the guys that are paid to see it??? It's just F@%$#D up! Dude probably had money on the Chargers...That's my honest opinion.

    Everyone likes to rattle on about how bad the Browns are with QB's, but as I watch Brandon Weeden taking a snap to wrap up the half, i started thinking about how many ex-Browns QB's are still holding on to critical NFL jobs as back ups;

    Brandon Weeden - Texans
    Colt McCoy- Redskins
    Cody Kessler- Jaguars
    Kevin Hogan- Broncos (recently promoted)
    Deshone Kizer - Packers

Am I missing any? Do we lead the league in this? All but Hogan were drafted by Browns, and Kevin was drafted by John Dorsey with the Chiefs.....

Maybe it just points out how poorly the Browns FO could distinguish a good backup QB from a starting QB (like Mayfield) and wasted a whole lot of first round picks going after one........

    (Sigh)

    :wall:

Edit: Or it could just mean that we signed a whole lot more QB's than all the other teams and the law of averages dictates that more of them find a home based on the greater number of there being "former Browns QB's" looking for a job.
