    H-useless?

How's this for a playful spin on the ol' GBU?

Good: Jimmy "Huckleberry" Haslam bought the Columbus Crew, keeping the franchise in Columbus.

Better: Huckleberry can now hand-select a quality kicker to make sure our special teams aren't so horrendous on Sundays.

Best: While Hucklberry's away, John Dorsey can slide into Lincoln Riley's DMs and get the contract negotiations for 2019 started.

Latest rumor from the Twitterverse talking heads (Adam Schefter) :

    Carlos Hyde traded to Jacksonville.

    {edit}
Its now being reported the Browns got a 5th round pick in return.

    I gotta admit . . . I didn't see THAT coming.

We've been calling for Chubb and Johnson to get more carries. Looks like John Dorsey was of the same mind.

Next trade (will have to wait since league offices are closed)...

Browns' 2019 first round pick, Jamie Collins, and Tyrod Taylor to New York Giants for Odell Beckham Jr.

Did Hyde's fantasy stock just go up?

    I would say no....But Nick Chubb's did!

His projected points just increased by almost 5. :point:

Hmmmm. That doesn't make much sense to me.... Hyde is now in a committee with TJ Yeldon...I don't see how that increases his value at all. Plus, what about when Fournette is healthy?

My take on that trade from a fantasy football perspective: I'd say Nick Chubb was the big winner, as his value went up bigtime... While Hyde's fantasy value took a little bit of a hit for now, and a potentially big hit if Fournette ever gets going....

Dez Bryant on a one year 'show me something kid' kind of deal?

Isn't Yeldon dinged up, as well?

Oops. My bad. Once Yahoo switched him to Jacksonville, his projected points dropped.

I'm with SAS on this one. I think Dorsey made the "lets get Chubb and Duke more action" decisions for his coaches. I would like to have gotten a 4th or 3rd rounder, but its a ten game rental for Jax, so I guess we take the 5th and shuffle the picks to get what we want next draft.

All and all, we lose the best blocking back, and we'll have to see how that trade off works out, but I'm generally pleased with the move.

Gonna be an interesting week for our O, given a set of recievers who still need introducitons, and a new #1 RB. Baker better be ready to play big time this week, we're going to need it.

I saw this but didn't see a corresponding move. Was he already on IR?

The Browns have had opportunities to win 6 games this season. They've won 2. John Dorsey believes he built a roster capable of winning. This year is about Ws and Ls. Whether that evaluation comes tonight, next week, the week after, the bye or January, 2-4-1 doesn't cut it...

THE GOOD: Opportunistic young defense continues to come up with key takeaways....Mayfield to Njoku.

THE BAD: The Browns offensive line. The Bucs have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, but they were more than our O-line could handle....

    THE UGLY:

I think we just got flagged again...

And they were down Curry and McCoy....CARL NASSIB started in Curry's place, you know, the guy Dorsey thought wasn't good enough for this roster...

    Meanwhile in Kansas City . . .

40% of the AFC best Chiefs' offensive line are former Cleveland Browns.
