I noticed some steam picking up on that as well. I also caught a whiff on a couple other quick rumors with Alex... The Bengals may be in for major shake-ups in the front office and coaching staff. Andy Dalton's contract provides the opportunity to dump him at the end of 2017. Cincinnati may make a move for Alex and look to acquire another quarterback in the draft. I also had a chat about Smith to the Redskins. Basically, it's being looked at as a better back-up plan than drafting a quarterback due to the inevitable Kirk Cousins departure.
And worse accuracy than DeShone Kizer. Interesting that some people think Lamar Jackson should be a WR at the next level when in reality, Josh Allen should be a TE at the next level.
I was just razzing SAS....but no joke if Rosen is making that statement I draft him anyways.....i keep saying it .01% Mayfield goes #1
Will be interesting to see if they go through with it. Rosen is already sitting out his bowl game, so it seems he’ll declare. Darnold is going to get lit up in his bowl against that OSU defense, which should send him back to school. So far, only Josh Allen - who’s more of a project than Kizer - has declared from the under-classmen ranks.
My hope is that they both declare and the Browns pass on both of them... Mayfield #1 overall Fitzpatrick #4 overall That would push two more players down the board towards the Browns at #33 if they both declare...That is really the only reason I have any care in the world about either of these two players.
Darnold (USC) and Grier (WVU) have already stated they are staying at their respective schools for one more year.
A little something I found on Mayfield. Is he Favre or is he Manziel? That is the question. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nfl-executives-baker-mayfields-pro-career-depends-lands-033208104.html
Do you have a link on the Darnold one? I've heard mixed things - most saying if he plays well against OSU that he would declare. He's one of my least favorite's in the draft, but the kind of prospect that "traditional NFL guys" salivate over. He's also extremely young - if he were drafted and sat his entire rookie season behind a vet (Alex Smith), he'd still be younger than Kizer is when he started if he takes over in 2019.
Todd Marinovich, Matt Leinhart, Matt Barkley, Mark Sanchez . . . Sam Darnold? I still say if you're looking for a QB, the last places to look is Ohio State and USC. CCarson Palmer was okay, but has he elevated ANY team to a chamionship?
