That's what I found interesting, because of how much it tilts the bubble in one direction. I actually like the argument for Baker home/away better when you take the neutral field out. It shows a level of consistency regardless of environment. When the decision maker in your offense demonstrates the ability to not be affected one way or the other by the field he's on I believe that mentality bleeds through the rest of the unit. Even more so if you have a consistent coach working with that type of quarterback.
Buddy, you need to watch the Ohio State game. Three times, if that's what it takes. Mark Andrews - Mayfield's top target - did not play in this game. Oklahoma's running game (2.8 YPC) was simply not working. Ohio State is a top college defense loaded with NFL talent. Oklahoma's first four drives - turnover, fumble, fumble, missed field goal. Oklahoma was driving the ball extremely well on a great opponent and shot themselves in foot multiple times. Should have been at least 12-3 at half time, probably 20-3.
Yeah, but that's high school teams...and it's because your HC requires you to...Just sitting in the film room, doesn't mean you are actually studying it...
I watch all FSU games probably twice a week on DVR....I wasnt talking HS film....of course Im doing that daily in season....draft breakdown is real solid to bad they dont have the Ohio St game on film there vs Okla
After watching that much crappy football, why do you tune in Sundays to catch the Browns, too? Unless... Guessing you're the one on the left?
Holy sh*t you're terrible at this. I'm going to break this down, point-by-point. #SMD... except he won the game, so stats do matter. He balled out against one of the nation's best teams. Didn't fancy you an Allen honk, but okay... let's play this game. Mayfield - in this game that *YOU* chose - was throwing to Mark Andrews (rarely), Jeff Badet (WR), Dimitri Flowers (FB) who are NFL draft prospects. Andrews has an R2 grade, Flowers has an R5 grade, and Badet has an UDFA grade. He was going against Denzel Ward (Top 10 grade), Jerome Baker (R2 grade), Sam Hubbard (R1 grade), Tyquan Lewis (R6 grade), Jaylen Holmes (R3 grade), and Chris Worley (R7 grade). By comparison, Josh Allen's toughest competition was Iowa. He was 57.5% comp, 0 TD, 2 INT, and lost 27 yards on 3 sacks. Enough. Confirmed, you're also not a coach. Imagine an impassioned Coach Taylor giving that Friday Night Lights speech... Gentlemen, this game isn't over. That defense is tough. That defense is fast. But we're not going to be intimidated. Sure, we could get 20 yards per play on screens, but no. I'm going to stubbornly call deep throws against an NFL-caliber secondary like a foolish, drunken Hue Jackson because some guy who doesn't even watch film or have a rudimentary understanding of the game of football hates our quarterback on a weirdly personal level. And you know what? We're gonna prove him wrong. Just because. Clear eyes... full hearts... NO SCREENS!!! It's adorable you think an open receiver catching a pass is a 'screen'. His YPC was 14.3 and his YPA was 11.0. Try again.
I figured since they played two years in a row AND OSU's defense was great both years, we would start with the 2016 game and move on from there... I did the first half for you from 2016...I'll try to do the rest later, just to help you out buddy...Here you go... GAME 1, LOSS TO OSU AT HOME OSU v OU Pass chart 1st drive 1. I'll get to the second half as soon as possible, then move on to the 2017 game...
