Over The Cap is superior. Spotrac steals their info so they don't have to research themselves but that gives Spotrac more time to make a better layout that is easier to follow. I might recommend we swap main sources next year.

 

I was only answering Lyman's question about why the New Orleans list might show so many TEs and guards. The only truly serious error on the Falcons list is that they still have TE Josh Perkins as a Falcon. He's no longer with us. But I know that, so I'm not factoring him in my top 53 anyway.

 

Last year Spotrac's errors on the ERFAs vs RFAs were just plain ridiculous. I generally trust OverTheCap more.

 

Almost all instances this year were right on OTC. Last year it was a 70-30 split. I looked at all players on all teams last year. Made my own reference list and posted it.

 

While we are discussing next year . . .

As a Newbie, might I suggest listing all the rules (and requurements) for all elements of the exercise in one spot instead of at the beginning of each element thread. Then embed some links to the required thread stated within the rules.

I literally got twisted up trying to figure out what to do and where / how to do it.

I'm good with making that change, and dumping spotrac altogether.

 

Chargers had some bad luck with last year's rookie class...It almost feels like I get bonus picks with Forrest Lamp and Mike Williams....

I think plenty to be psyched about in 2018 for the Bolts...

 

Honestly lots of blogs etc... use spotrac as the go to and I have always wondered why. I always felt like over the cap is the better source and it’s my go to for cap related stuff 100% support making the switch.

 

Spotrac has better interface usability, Overthecap is more accurate.

 

It's the interface. Spotrac has a more user friendly and more aesthetic interface along with a few extra random bells and whistles.

OTC has many more important references though... and is right more often.

 

Actually, I think it's because of reliability...not in accuracy but the fact that Over The Cap has technical issues too often. About 6 months ago, they were down for almost a month straight. It's hit or miss, but something is embedded in their site, similar to Walter, depending on the system, it bogs down browsers.

As far as accuracy, I've always liked OTC though..

 

Interesting. Walter F’s up my computer so badly. I’m lucky if I can read two pages before it glitches out

 

OTC sometimes has contract details missing on some days and not others and some other glitches.
