Ouch! Damn. Choking puppies??? WTH is that? I thought police records of minors were kept sealed?...It's pro sports, and I don't expect a bunch of choir boys, but if that is all valid, it's very disturbing, and definately changes my perception of him.......With a rap sheet like that, how did HE even get invited to the combine? It sounds every bit as bad as Mixon...
I knew about the domestic he had with the girl at the bar (which he was found not guilty of), and the BB gun thing, but the rest is news to me... The NFL already told Mixon that he can't go to the combine because he beatdown a girl....And they said no thanks to the Baylor WR that mistreated his dog....So now we have Dalvin Cook checking both of those disgraceful boxes, and yet it's okay for him to attend? Wow...That's kinda phuqed up. The dog thing REALLY bothers me. I don't know how I missed that. You really have to wonder about a guy that would chain up puppies in the fashion that he supposedly did....Calling it "disturbing" is a major understatement.
Two words: Florida. State. Just look what they swept under the rug for Winston. Here's the link to the multitude of infractions. And the reason he got the Combine invite (besides being a first round pick) is that charges were either dropped or not pressed in almost every one of those. But it still displays a pattern of not only poor behavior, but poor choices.
It's ridiculous, but I think obvious. Mixon and Zamora got caught on tape...That is the main difference. If Cook was caught on tape abusing dogs or punching women, he wouldn't be invited either...The whole thing stinks. We know the culture at Baylor was deplorable, but you may be right about FSU as well... The NFL is just absurd on this. If you are found guilty of heinous behavior, it really shouldn't matter whether or not there's a video of it....This is the world we live in. Pictures speak MUCH louder than words...
Keep doubting him SAS....he has matured A TON and became one of Jimbo's favorite players during his coaching career....he became a leader w a tremendous work ethic...your last bullet point was a complete made up story by a girl trying to make a buck
Again, NOT GUILTY!! Jimbo runs FSU w great class and once DeAndre Johnson's video came out)hitting a girl) he was booted no questions asked...I can guarantee you FSU has the most family atmosphere in college football....all recruits talk bout is what a family it is at FSU....JImbo has turned that image around since he took over for Bowden
Blind eye stopper...That's fandom. Do you really KNOW that none of this is true? For me, it isn't worth signing a million dollar paycheck to reward him. We've seen it time and again, once their thirst is quenched with money, their true nature eventually rears it's ugly head. If you even think he might have this past transgression, he shouldn't be rewarded, especially by MY team.
Especially when coupled with what he told the young lady: Google me. I'm going to be rich. In two years, I can buy you.
Wow. That's ugly....For a brief period of time many years ago, I worked for a rich asshole that talked to people that way. Eventually karma does come around and snap people like that, but I'm not sure if that sort of mind set can truly be fixed. Dalvin hasn't even been paid yet (supposedly), and he's already acting and speaking like he's just above everybody else...That's not good. I tend to agree with Irish. These are deep rooted personality traits that aren't going to go away by rewarding him with money....In fact, it's almost certain to magnify. I'm usually willing to give the guy a break in domestic disputes with women because we rarely know all the details of what transpired, what was said, etc... Plus, at the end of the day, a human has the ability to walk away....Dogs are completely defenseless. They are at your mercy....That bullshit happened only a couple years ago.. What kind of person is Dalvin Cook? Is he remorseful for any of his actions? If that comment made to the girl is any indication, I'd say no...He was one of my favorite players in the draft until I heard about the dog thing. That's messed up. It's part of a very messed up pattern...The Browns don't need another knucklehead. I'd be shocked if Cleveland selected him...Obviously he needs to put on a show of contrition in the interview process....The red flags are saying; stay the hell away!
How has Winston done since he entered the NFL? Some of these kids need to grow up coming from S Fla(Cook)....ton of crime areas and he was immature, but he has grown up big time and been a great person....JImbo is a high character guy and he views Cook as the same
Boy Irish, arnt we hypocritical...in your eyes Gordon was the best thing since sliced bread...he had major problems in college w drugs and they carried over into the NFL....you stuck by him 100%....now a guy who was found not guilty isnt worth a paycheck
So, you think toking a fatty is basically the same thing as domestic violence, using a firearm on school property and violence towards puppies is the same thing? I may be a hypocrite, but you my friend are ignorant.
I dont think its the same....domestic violence charge was NOT GUILTY...the firearm charge on campus was dropped....not sure why its still an issue...I never thought the Browns wuld draft him so you will get your wish, but I believe he will be one of the top players in this draft class when his career is over
Because he's displaying a repeated habit of being an idiot. Or, being friends with idiots. Either way, that tends to bite players in the butt once they hit the NFL lottery. And given everything we know about him: off-field issues, fumbling issues, lack of ideal size... I will go ahead and say by the end of his career, he won't be one of the top running backs out of this draft class, let alone all players.
I don't know SAS. Remember the Cris Carter advice given at the rookie symposium a few years back? The message was basically; It's okay to be a jackass as long as you have a "fall guy" on hand in case things get too crazy, and somebody has to pay the price for your idiocy....lmao! Classic... Surprisingly Carter was never invited back to speak to the rookies again...smh. *DONT_KNOW*
Not even sure what to make of that... Cook has yet to measure in at the NFL Combine, so we'll see. He's listed as 5'11" and 213, but I'd guess he comes in closer to Reggie Bush size (5'11" and 205) since he looks slim and most college rosters tend to over-state their players measureables. Isaiah Crowell is listed at 5'11" and 225, which is about ideal for an NFL running back. He measured 5'11" and 224 at his NFL Combine.
