Anytime Office Space can be brought into a conversation (especially about sports) it is a fine day. The funny thing is, I had a red, Swingline stapler in my office and somebody stole it! So I naturally had to get another one. I might need to go look in storage b to find it. "Hell, it wasn't even the right Lumbergh!"
That's actually wrong. It is absolutely an indication of the QB's (or WR's) ability. A higher YAC is not the result of a quarterback, but of a receiver. Likewise, a higher YIA is the result of the quarterback, not the receiver. I think you're missing the concept of yards-in-air. It's a QB's passing yards less YAC. If a higher percentage of a QB's throws are YIA, it means they are pushing the ball further down the field. Once again, you have completely missed the point. Your extremely skewed example doesn't mesh with the data points. It shows average yards to go per passer. The range is 8.5 to 9.5 (Kessler is right in the middle at 9.0), so you don't have one QB who's throwing all of his passes short facing 20 to go and another throwing all of their short at 2 to go. You are trying to take a singularity and define a statistic off of it. If Kessler was facing 3.5 average yards to go on third and threw 81% of his passes short, that would be a bad stat.
Uhm, that's okay Crex....If you could go ahead and have that TPS report on my desk by tommorrow morning. That would be great.
I mentioned this on the draft thread... Today, Texan's QB Tom Savage told the media he's "looking forward to a fun and peaceful QB room this year"... shot fired at Osweiller? I think so...is there any doubt? lol!
I must have slept through "connect the dots" class. I have no idea what he meant (or didn't mean) by that comment. Could be any number of things.
lol! always bustin my balls...I suggest turning on a TV or something, because thats what all the "dot connecting" heads seem to think, as do I...
. You asked, "is there any doubt?" I can picture any number of scenarios where Osweiler's presence may have ramped up the tension in Houston's QB room. (Not all of it directly caused by Brock). The difference is, I don't take what comes out of a talking head's mouth as gospel because they don't have any more of a clue as to what goes on inside those walls than you or I do.
So it was my phrasing that threw you off.... When I asked, "is there any doubt it was a shot at Osweiller?".... that made you think, hey maybe he's talkin about: BUTT-CHIN".... lol! Really? sorry, but I think you just like giving me crap...The entire world took Savage's remark one way, but I've got you here to remind ME that I could be wrong....thanks.
I apologize...You know I'm just havin fun Lym...Not many posters I respect more than you, my friend...I DID word that post in a way that might lead anyone to respond like you did...I started out an instigator on these threads nearly 20 years ago, you don't think that much has changed do ya? I was just lookin for a way to get that pic of "butt-chin" back out there, basically...I want that thing burned into SAS's memory...
