Apples to oranges. Toews and Kane signed at a different time and were fresh off a Cup. Toews and Kane obviously wanted a big piece of pie and Stan caved.
Look at Crosby, makes less than many because he isn’t looking to maximize his earning potential, all for the greater good of the team. Pittsburgh’s tax structure isn’t all that different from Tampa’s.

Your belabored point skinny is that some teams have a slight advantage. I think that stating that some teams have a disadvantage is actually closer to the truth. Most of the NHL teams can come close to what teams in Florida can offer.
Drafting and structure are the reasons why TB has that roster.

Nobody is saying that tampa has that roster because there's no state tax, it's just plays a key chip in negotiating. Players are asked to play for less money to help the team win, in return, they know they pay no state tax, it's a help. One day the panthers will be able to reap the benefits as well.

I forgot you were a waste-of-space troll. I had tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. I will go back to regarding you as such. It's a damn shame.

lol, thin skinned like Dan ok, how is this not true about florida? When all their big players come due, they could also have them play for cheaper, low iq lol.

Skinny, if you did anything other than take meaningless pot-shots, I wouldn't call you a troll. Hell, as many fans of division rivals as there are here, I understand a number of insults aimed at one team or another.

But let's be honest. You can't bring substance to the table - you're not capable of it. You're a troll - at best a waste of space. So, I'll continue to write you off as one.

You wouldn't know substance if it hit you smack dab in the face.

Dipshit, I guess I've been trolling for 10 years then.

You look much more of a troll than I ever will. I'm bringing up a legitmate debate.

Florida isn't tax-free? That's all you come back at me with, pure trolling there.

You know what that means but you take issue because you're trolling.

You can't agree with anything I have to say even though it's backed up by agents.

Think about who the troll is, your the new kid on the block compared to me.

Yup, you got me, buddy. I should be surprised that, in paragraphs of what I write, you only manage to read one thing, but... I'm not. I should be surprised that you consider this crusade well-waged and well-won, on your part, but... I'm not.

Have another drink, Skinny. It's awfully early in the morning, but I can't think of another explanation.

I don't even know why you go on for, everybody knows that you're jealous of the way tampa can use a certain thing to their advantage.

    Admitting it would be selftallon-defeating.

    What are your thoughts Will?

  17. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

Im glad they signed him and glad its a short 2 year deal. I don't think he really earned a long-term deal just yet as he seems to be a bit inconsistent. He's big and has a good shot, just hope he capitalizes it and can contribute even more offensively. He must reduce turnovers of the puck offensively and play with a bit more grit that equals his size, in my opinion.

Having AA and Mantha signed, just leaves Larkin to go and he will get a long-term deal.

I hope Mantha can get going on the PP also... it would be a huge lift to the Wings chances. AA, Larkin and Mantha all need to score more, it was the achillies heel of the Wings lately and cost them many games as goals were at a premium.

Anyway, bottom line, he (Mantha) needs to shine and even surpass last years points totals or the Wings will be real happy it was just a 2 year deal or bumming it because an 80 goal scorer coming out of juniors with his seemingly talented/gifted game didn't pan out.

    6'5" , 225 , goal scorer = a steal at 3.3/year if it works out.

Was Mantha a bridge contract? I am to lazy to look.

  19. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

All I can say is... He will be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights when the deal expires in 2020.

I don't know a bridge from a hole in the ground, lol.

that is a bridge contract, it is a short term contract that still keeps him under their thumb at the next go around.
