    Release OEL! He’s so underrated.
Why the hell did he re-up there at a discount?

Kovalchuk reportedly signs with the Kings

    Kovalchuk 3/$18.75.
too long in term but I thought he was looking at 1 or 2 years at $7-7.5 per.

    Good deal.

i wonder what Sweeney's deal to Kovalchuk was.

but who do you think is the front runner right now. things will change but JT must already be leaning.

I think SJ will make a serious play for JT. They have a strong team, a great place to play, and boodles of money after the Hoff flip.

I think the NYI are the front runners, then SJ. LA is out, I think, after Kovy. So I think Toronto is in the show position and Boston may be the dark horse.

SJ would shift the balance of power big time. seems like a great fit for that roster.
does he want the west coast life........and accompanying taxes?

  15. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

would love JT in Boston, of course.
whats that saying- Id drive Krejci to the airport myself.

can Toronto offer as much money as NYR/SJ/NYI?

I don't think the leafs could pull it off unless they dump major salary.

  17. skinny123 Guest

The leafs would have to dump either marner or nylander for picks and prospects.

Toronto would need to do some roster shuffling (I think) to fit him under the cap.

I'm hearing the NYR are not in on him. He's a loyal guy - maybe to a fault. That gives Lou an edge, and works against the Rags.

He may not want the T.O. spotlight (just like Stamkos). If he shuns the Leafs, I think that's a factor.

A super dark horse is the Sabres. It's near home without the glare. He was a ball boy for the lax Buffalo Bandits when is eponymous uncle starred there. He knows what it's like to be a sports idol in Buffalo. It would trigger a ROR trade, not for the cap space, but because of the redundancy. The assets ROR would bring along with my nephew, Casey Mittlestadt, and Dahlin would make Buffalo a much more competitive team.
Let me be clear: I think BUF is very unlikely. But, I wouldn't be shocked if it's one of his 5 visits.

SJ is a great city. The west probably hurts their case, but they otherwise have the most to offer.

The rangers are not in the mix, ( sharks, knights, leafs, tampa and dallas).

One source has the kings, another the knights.
