This made me say "wow". And, I could see this as a realistic trade at the end of the month. I'm thinking the Yotes are acing this draft so far. I liked Matty's bold move to get a top D, but that means he's been pretty silent since then. Joe has made four picks (I think) for Arizona.

I want to remind everyone that I have a genuine game-worn Rockford IceHogs sweater to send to the best mocker. At this point I think it's gotta go to Joe, so let me know if there is some other team's draft that you really like; and why.

 

If Rubstov & Howden were both on the board then I would have taken Rubstov too. I was thinking of moving up for the massive blueliner Niemelainen and got too clever; he got away. I was not going to let that happen with Howden. So, I paid the price to move up.

I have tiered the draft so I am not looking so much at individual ranking 1-151, but rather groups of players with similar value. Howden was in a tier that, for me, makes him a first rounder later this month. But I think Rubstov is almost certain to be a first.

 

Of course I love my drafts but I also like Florida's.

This is a bit of a lateral move. Flames wanted a goalie prospect that is close to pro ready and the Jets wanted to get someone that will be ready a little later into their system as they already have Pavelec, Hutchinson and Hellebuyck. Plus I personally rate this guy as the top goalie in this draft class and think he'll have a bright future.
