2016 NHL Draft

i like the idea of Tufte. but lets all be realistic, not like any of us have seen him play much and certainly not live hockey. our opinions are based on other's opinions.

 

FWIW, I have Tufte at 33, tier 5.

Of course. At least in the NBA and NFL we can see stuff easier but hockey is so much harder especially when they don't play in the CHL and to a lesser extent the NCAA.

 

Then that was my mock draft fuck up since I had him #57, tier 6.

 

i love it too, just saying there's so much we dont know about these kids.

 

Tage Thompson has a really good coach in Mike Cavanaugh.
He lived rent free in my Grandmother's basement as a grad asst. at BC back in the day.

 

Let's not go too far the other way, either. Those GM's on the podium tonight don't know that much about these kids either. Not really. They're 18 year old kids, the kids themselves don't know that much about themselves yet.

exactly. and in the NFL its televised and fewer games and theyre typical 3+ years older by draft day. seemingly no one really knows MLB drafts and the way the NBA one went last night absolutely no ones knows shit there.

 

No one knows less shit about who they are drafting than NBA GMs.

 

theyve seen them play a lot and have an awareness about the kid as a person. none of us know much of anything about these kids as humans other than what guys like Pierre fellaciates himself w/. and very rarely have any of us seen these kids play live enough to have a really strong opinion. you cant properly evaluate a kid at this level from watching him once.

 

its insane. i followed the draft (not the season) for the Celts this year just because of the number and quality they of picks they had. was funny how little the basketball lennies knew too.

 

I've watched some of tufte, his skates are slow. I was not a big fan of him.

 

loved the father son thing, mebbe they add ty ronning tomorrow.

to me thats much more important than what a guy like Craig Button is regurgitating.

 

My Arizona 4th round pick goes. I traded up for him in the mock. I had him in my 7th tier which is #43-late 2nd.

 

i think so. theyre loaded. Tkachuk's brother is committed there too. probably ends up in the CHL but we'll see.
