yes, but this is a mock...I can do whatever I want to get the Browns draft I want...you know, like letting Tunsil get drafted twice.. *SHADES* (edit and no, I don't think I have ever said anyone but Treadwell was getting drafted first...I think what you are referring to is that I said not only Fuller, but also Josh Doctson would get drafted before Corey Coleman...
He said: Despite every draft analysis website knocks him for being a poor blocker. And... Despite every draft analysis website knocks him for not having developed any underneath or intermediate routes. And then this... Which would only have been true if Al Davis were still alive and drafting for the Raiders.
Good to hear you?re still on the green side of the grass goat. *THUMBSUP* Agreed. This is the Rams best chance to make a splash in the draft without hamstringing themselves in future drafts. They had the ammo to make a bold move and went for it. It remains to be seen which QB they like best. I?m still on the fence as to which one I like more. IMHO both need a year or two holding the clipboard learning how the game is played at the next level. I suppose we?ll all find out who it is next Thursday.
Watch his tape and tell me he is a bad blocker...The only websites I can find that "knock" his blocking are talking about his size project him to not be a very good blocker, which tells me they didn't actually watch him. Go ahead and watch...Here is what Draft Breakdown said..which is a website that you know and are fond of... Again...from someone who always has used the quote "watch his game film" this is beneath you Sam...Are you getting lazy putting something this generic as an argument? He runs these routes on his game film...Despite what you may have read, it is as simple as watching his film to see it..What he HASN'T done to this point is run inside slants, so anyone pointing to him being a slot receiver, he would have a lot to learn there and most likely get himself injured trying to do something like that. I guess we will all see one week, one day and approximately 8 hours... It will be Treadwell, Fuller and Doctson as the first 3 receivers off the board...not sure which order as each team will have different needs. Those are the best three receivers in this draft just as I said back in January before any websites even started their game film "study" and regurgitating each others draft coverage for web page hits... I add this: I will get off the top 5 kick on Treadwell, because his 40 time probably scared anyone drafting that high and after studying game film on the defensive side of the ball, my overall list has moved quite a few guys ahead of Treadwell... as well as the fact, when I wrote that, I didn't think there was a QB worthy of the top 5. Now we know, there will be 2 QBs taken in the top 5 and that also moves Treadwell down... My updated thoughts on the wideouts after 3 1/2 months since this statement was made... The WRs haven't changed but the positioning has... Top 25 Laquon Treadwell Top 25 Will Fuller Top 25 Josh Doctson 2nd Tyler Boyd 2nd Michael Thomas 2nd, due to lack of other positions moving him down Corey Coleman 2nd/3rd Braxton Miller
My personal feelings aside, I think the top 3 on the list are probably close to where they will be drafted with talk of Fuller going in the back half of the first. I've also seen Doctson is being considered ahead of Treadwell on a couple boards. I think Corey Coleman may be a lock to go to the Texans and there is a lot of chatter regarding Thomas being the top receiver on a lot of boards. It looks like he could go as early as Cincinnati. My personal rankings have not changed much with a week to go - 1. Thomas 2. Coleman 3. Treadwell 4. Doctson 5. Shepard 6. Fuller 7. Boyd 8. Cooper 9. Miller 10. Mitchell

You know what...forget those mocks anyway... I would rather make another prediction... On draft day, Laremy Tunsil will drop to #8 overall, at which point the Browns will trade out of #8 overall.. Titans get #8 and #100 Browns get #15 and #45 Titans select Laremy Tunsil Browns select at #15 Paxton Lynch...OR...trade down to either #20 Jets or #31 Broncos
He's a bad blocker. Congratulations, you found one site that didn't knock his run blocking. I've got five that do. Personal opinions also play a pretty heavy role in scouting and analyzing players (see: you and Wentz, Carson) I watched his film. He doesn't run a full route tree. Ever. Maybe Cleveland takes Treadwell at #8 and Coleman at #32 and gets two receivers who're better than Fuller, then. I'm good with that.
I never said he ran a full route tree...I said he ran a lot of out routes for first downs...you put those words in my mouth...even though you quoted what I actually said later... I guess you think I am a terrible talent evaluator, and I in turn think you are a terrible talent evaluator then... We will just leave it at that...Corey Coleman is not a very good receiver, he is a better runner than receiver...he will NOT be drafted ahead of Will Fuller, imho...I've been wrong before (Blake Bortles), I'm sure I'll be wrong again...
For the record, I would be fine with this...as I am sure Will Fuller won't be available at #32 anyway... This would fill two spots, the X *Treadwell and I actually believe Coleman could play the Y or the Z, where Fuller would be a full time Y or X, he can't play the slot.
I think Coleman is possibly the first WR drafted....Him and Treadwell are real close in my book. I think no doubt that both will be gone in first round....Fuller might go in late first, but of the 3, he's the one I see possibly dropping to somewhere in mid second rd....
My top WR's in this draft ....in order 1. Laquon Treadwell 2. Corey Coleman 3. Josh Doctson 4. Braxton Miller 5. Will fuller 6. Michael Thomas 7. Tyler Boyd 8. Sterling Sheppard 9. Pharoh Cooper 10. Charone Peake If somehow the Browns come out of this draft with one or two of these guys, I'm happy.
I tried to do a NEED based draft (I know that could mean just about anything). My basis was this...this new coaching staff is putting their eggs in the RGIII basket. If he has any chance of succeeding, they will need to draft a whole new bevy of weapons. The cupboard is bare on this roster and free agency brought nothing to help...so THAT is the sole basis of this draft done on Fanspeak, with no trades. Fanspeak Simulator 8: R1P8 WR LAQUON TREADWELL OLE MISS 32: R2P1 WR WILL FULLER NOTRE DAME 65: R3P2 S VONN BELL OHIO STATE 77: R3P14 RB DEVONTAE BOOKER UTAH 99: R4P1 OLB YANNICK NGAKOUE MARYLAND 100: R4P2 OLB JAYLON SMITH (ILB)NOTRE DAME 138: R4P40 QB CARDALE JONES OHIO STATE 141: R5P2 OLB VICTOR OCHI STONY BROOK 172: R5P33 S JAYRON KEARSE CLEMSON 173: R5P34 FB GLENN GRONKOWSKI KANSAS STATE 176: R6P1 DT ANTWAUN WOODS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 223: R7P2 OT WILLIE BEAVERS WESTERN MICHIGAN I sprinkled in what I felt was value picks, like Vonn Bell...and risk/reward picks like Jaylon Smith (possibly the best LB in this draft). With as many picks as they have accumulated, the Browns can afford the risky pick.
