flyers have an odd stretch ahead ... after the next game they have 5 in a row on the road, then 3 at home and back on the road for 5 more away. seems odd? i do know the second 5 is their usual time away from the Wells Fargo Center for Mickey Mouse and the Ice capades to come to town. they do it every year.

flyers lose 10 seconds into OT. Real nice .Couts goes to pin his man against the boards and doesn't do it enough as the man passes to a wide open seth jones. where was the 3rd flyer on the ice ? no one knows! who was covering jones? apparently no one. please get JQ in town fast.

 

Sparks had a bad game, he let in about two or three easy ones. Nylander wasn't in game shape, he needs 3 or 4 games to get going. I would've put him on the 4th line or had him do a stint with the marlies.
Babbs went ahead and broke up kapaenen and matthews and gave nylander PP time.
Nylander was benched the last 15 minutes, babbs had a shot of reality.

Good coaches build their legacy on inheriting a loaded roster to work with.

Not saying that babbs isn't a good coach, but there's a marginal difference between one and another.
Most coaches get fired becuase they just don't have the talent to take them places, and won't be given the chance to prove themselves with a loaded roster.
