I have looked at some of highlights of Tai Felton he's faster than looks and good hands, if I'm Jalen Nailor i would be a little nervous

 

I saw highlights Tre Stewart he's a big fast man the guy looks freakin awesome looks like the Vikings might have found a diamond in the rough ĥe from Jackson State Gamecocks he looks really fast and very powerful

 

1,638 yards and 25 touchdowns on 278 carries (5.9 YPC) in addition to 18 receptions for 234 yards and a score... all in 1 season. How do you run for 25 TD's in a season? dang.

He could get a depth job right away and who knows, maybe he has a future in Minnesota.

Kevin O'Connell explains why Vikings haven't named J.J. McCarthy the starter

The Minnesota Vikings haven't named J.J. McCarthy the starting quarterback yet, but Kevin O'Connell is telling fans not to overreact to that.

O'Connell appeared on Kay Adams' podcast Up & Adams this week and answered questions about his 2024 first-round pick. Although some may read too far into McCarthy not officially being named the team's starter, O'Connell said it's too early to draw any conclusions on the quarterback.

We can’t even line up defensive players from our own team against him yet, so we really don’t have a need to have anything more than just development time, learning time, teaching phase for our team. Trust me, J.J. is going to get all of the prerequisite work for us to come out of the spring, and feel great about where he’s at and headed into training camp.

O'Connell may be right in that there's no reason to overreact to this right now. But McCarthy will act as the team's starter when OTAs and mandatory minicamp begin. He held a press conference with reporters this week and has been talked about glowingly by coaches and GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah this offseason.

It's much like the "couple" that isn't a "couple" yet. They're always together, going on dates and holding hands, without the social media post announcing their relationship being official. McCarthy will be the team's starter. He's just waiting for O'Connell to officially share it with the world.

It will hurt but the Vikings knew this might happen know we will see the run game and JJ McCarthy we will if can cut it the new and improved defense it will be INTERESTING

 

When i think about the Vikings 2025 schedule, its pretty tough... has to be one of the toughest in the NFL. Besides 2 against the Packers, Bears and Lions, the Vikings drew the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders outside their division. When I noticed this, I said to my self, 'oh my'.

Oddsmakers have picked Minnesota to win 8.5, a 500 football team basically. I doubt the oddsmakers had them winning 14 last season for what thats worth.

 

I'm not all that surprised The NFL just loves to kick the Vikings in the mouth well then ok NFL ɓrin̈g it on i ain't scared laughing but it does look damn tough and hope that injury bug stays far away PURPLE POWER

 

Here's a thought. If Darnold could manage 14 wins with this Vikings squad, a healthy McCarthy, imo, will be even better, and on top of that the o-line is better and the defense is better. Maybe the Vikings will defy all odds.
