With temperatures reaching up to 29°C in parts, it’s no wonder football fans are sinking god’s nectar by the gallon. It’s reported that consumption of beer in Russia has fallen by a third in the last decade. This is due to tightened regulations on advertising and increased taxes. This cultural shift and subsequent statistic may be to blame for the nations’ inability to quench fans’ thirst.
