EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings suffered their first home loss of the 2019 season Monday night, as Minnesota fell 23-10 to Green Bay.

The Vikings are now locked into the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs, and will have to succeed on the road if they want to make a deep playoff run.

Minnesota (10-5) closes out the regular season at home Sunday against Chicago (7-8). The Bears have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Here’s a look at the Vikings Week 17 matchup against the Bears:

Passing: Kirk Cousins struggled on Monday night, as his passer rating of 58.8 was his second-lowest of the season.

Cousins completed 16 of 31 passes for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was also under duress, as he was sacked five times.

Cousins has now completed 307 of 444 passes (69.1 percent) for 3,603 yards with 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. His passer rating of 107.4 ranks fourth in the NFL.

Mitchell Trubisky completed 18 of 34 passes for 157 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions Sunday night against the Chiefs. His passer rating of 65.4 was his fourth-worst of the season.

The Bears quarterback has completed 300 of 479 passes (62.6 percent) for 2,931 yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His passer rating for the season is 82.9.

Trubisky played just six snaps in Week 4 against the Vikings.

Rushing: The Vikings mustered just 57 yards on 16 rushes Monday night, with Vikings running backs picking up 55 yards on 15 attempts.

Minnesota was without Dalvin Cook and Alexander, both of whom missed the game due to injuries.

Mike Boone has 28 yards on 11 carries while Ameer Abdullah had 27 yards on four attempts.

Cook leads Minnesota with 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2019. The Vikings rank seventh in the NFL at 130.6 rushing yards per game.

The Bears rank 29th in the NFL at 86.7 rushing yards per game. Chicago ran for 101 yards on 22 attempts Sunday.

Montgomery leads Chicago with 219 rushes for 776 yards and five scores as a rookie.

Receiving: Stefon Diggs led the Vikings with three receptions for 57 yards, but Minnesota’s passing attack was out of sorts all night against the Packers.

Abdullah led the Vikings with six catches, which went for 31 yards. Adam Thielen was targeted four times and didn’t have a reception, while Kyle Rudolph had one catch for seven yards.

Irv Smith, Jr., had two catches for four yards, and fullback C.J. Ham had two catches for 12 yards.

Diggs leads the Vikings with 63 catches for 1,130 yards, while Cook has 53 catches for 519 yards. Rudolph has 39 receptions for 367 yards. Thielen has 30 catches for 418 yards in nine games in 2019.

Diggs, Rudolph and Thielen are tied for the team lead with six touchdown catches each.

Allen Robinson II had six catches for 53 yards to lead the Bears. Javon Wims (three catches for 26 yards) and Tarik Cohen (three catches for 25 yards) also chipped in.

Robinson leads Chicago with 89 catches for 1,076 yards and seven scores. Cohen has 70 receptions for 412 yards and three scores.

Word this week was that the Vikings were going to rest their starters for Sunday’s game against the Bears and that word was on the mark.

Left tackle Riley Reiff and right tackle Brian O'Neill were among the seven players deactivated for Week 17. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was not on that list, but he isn’t expected to start and sitting both tackles is a strong hint that Sean Mannion will be running the offense on Sunday.

The Vikings also scratched linebacker Anthony Barr. Linebacker Eric Kendricks was ruled out on Friday due to a quadricep injury.

Running back Dalvin Cook was also ruled out. He’s dealing with a shoulder injury and Alexander Mattison (ankle) is also inactive after being listed as questionable, which leaves Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah as the team’s running backs.
