I was interested in seeing what everyone thinks the ceiling/ floor of wins your favorite teams have heading into the season. I’ll start with the Steelers Ceiling is 14 wins in the regular season with a SB Floor is 8-9 Browns Ceiling 14 wins Floor 8-9 Ravens Ceiling 12 wins with the loss of Dobbins Floor 7-10 Bengals Ceiling 11 wins Floor 3-14
Minnesota Vikings Cieling; 11-6 , Playoffs = everything has to gel and no serious injuries. Really need the good kirk Cousins, like the one late last season... the defense needs to really step it up a notch and not give up 21 a game. Offensive line needs to stay healthy and stay a solid unit for 17+ games. Floor and quite possibly; 8-9 = The same ol same ol... always high hopes only to get dashed upon the rocks. Poor defense, cant stop the run and Zimmer gets the hook mid-way through the season.
Steelers have @Buf, @GB, Cleveland twice, Baltimore twice, @Chiefs on their schedule. Not saying those are all losses but your ceiling is like 11. Maybe 12 in an all goes right scenario. Bears are like 10 for a ceiling and 5 for a floor.
Very interesting thread idea well done. Now give yourself a slap and get a grip. No way do the Steelers have a 14win ceiling, its 12 and thats me being the kind soul i am. No way is it higher than the Ravens either. As for the Bears, i really want to think its 11, but with that schedule the truth is its 10. I think the floor is 6 wins. Below that would be an epic failure. But there's too many winnable games of the kind the Bears usually win. There's prob 3 in the division right there, thats half the total.
I don't hate them. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they make the playoffs. Love Najee Harris...took him in a fantasy draft last night and I think he can carry my RBs. But there's no chance they are a 14 win team with the schedule they have.
Browns metric is an 11 win team with 16 games in 2020. A pretty significantly improved roster and an added game, I would realistically put that as their floor. Second year in the system SHOULD improve the team win column, but… that’s why they play the games. The cynic in me always has that pit in my stomach that this is all an illusion. floor 11 Ceiling 14 with the added game. I truly believe they are a Super Bowl contender. We are going to find out early whether they are a contender or pretender.
Steelers will go 15 and 2 ceiling SB floor 14 and 3 SB Ravens will go 9 and 8 ceiling floor 8 and 9 Brown will go 11 and 6 ceiling floor 1 16 Bengals will go 7 and 10 ceiling floor 6 and 11
The Browns are the only team I feel will challenge to take the division from us. I have them at a 14 ceiling too. The floor I make is based on injuries ruining the season. If the Browns go injury free then I can’t see less than 12 wins. The ravens are going to find that losing Dobbins is a blow to their real SB chances. He is a back with potential to lead the league in rushing and is gone this season.
I'll say the ceiling for the Steelers is 11 wins with the bottom being seven. They have a tough schedule late in the season that could really put them in a tailspin. I think Harris will help Big Ben be a bit fresher late in the year. Maybe they could be in the playoffs as a WC.
