@Vancouver Volcanos PPR or Non PPR? How many RBs do you start? How many WRs? Any flex spots? Need some of that info to give you the best advice on who to pick.
@Vancouver Volcanos PPR or Non PPR?........................................PPR How many RBs do you start?.......................2 RB's How many WRs?..........................................2 WR's Any flex spots?.............................................Yes 1....(RB or WR) Need some of that info to give you the best advice on who to pick. Thank you Jean much appreciated.....................\+/......BEER I personally like JT. Should be a big bounce back year. Good call StlC.......if Taylor is healthy the Indy Colts will contend for the AFC South....I'm not sure what my Titan's are going to do this year.......all 4 teams in the AFC South have improved after the Draft so I will not Draft with my Heart and Take Derrick Henry but will Draft smart........I like Jonathan Taylor and also (Rookie) Bijan Robinson for Atlanta....BUT I have this dilemma because I have never Drafted 1st overall in this $ League. Thank you StlC for your input really appreciated from you Both.......\+/ BEER
I think the argument for CMC is out there too. Extremely beneficial offense and he will get touches in all aspects. Too many weapons to be focused on primarily.
End of the day... It's a crap shoot. You can get blown up by an injury or run the tables on the league because a guy blows up week in and week out. There are obviously a number of considerations. Christian McCaffrey is my personal favorite since he had a healthy season last year and is now acclimated to his new offense. Austin Ekeler, Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Taylor...Hell, even Bijan Robinson based on his skillset is custom made for ppr. Pure runner King Henry... Without Kareem Hunt in the lineup, Nick Chubb could end up with a lot of catches. He has good hands, but with Hunt on the field they didn't use him much in that capacity. I would search my gut and pick the one that makes it ache the least.
CMC is my pick if you go RB (Taylor would be the other way i would go with RB) but as underdog points out the other way to go is Jefferson
Downside to the #1 pick is the length of time you have to wait for your second pick as you stated but you then get back to back and those picks your 2nd and 3rd are going to be what can make or break you. If by chance they have left Kelce on the board look to grab him with 1 of the 2. If he is gone you could still go with a tight end Mark Andrews should have a good season in the new ravens offense but he may start out slow. If you go Jefferson and want to nab back to back RBs at this point there are good odds Etiemne, Najee Harris and Breece Hall are on the board. Of course with Hall you do have to worry about when he gets on the field from his acl injury. If you went CMC you could wither go with one or even two of the runningbacks above or slide wr for one or both good odds Amon ra may still be there as well as Garret Wilson who should look even better with Rodgers throwing to him even if rodgers is on a downswing its better than what wilson had lst year in great rookie season.
THANK YOU......ALL OF YOU. Very nice input for me to do Homework on.....Live Draft is not till 3rd week in August so I have time to review all your suggestion. "Downside to the #1 pick is the length of time you have to wait for your second pick as you stated but you then get back to back and those picks your 2nd and 3rd are going to be what can make or break you." Totally agree with this comment by Jean.......I will be lucky if there is a QB left for the 23rd and 24th pick ? I leaning towards a RB for my 1st overall pick and McCaffery looks like a good pick....49ers should compete for Div this year. ..............Thank You ALL and if I ever get the chance to meet any of you in person the BEERS are on me............\+/
Well, be careful... this is my glass... LOL Will.........a friend of mine travelled Great Britain years ago and rented a car and drove from Liverpool to Scotland and drop by Stod Fold Brewery.......he said it was really good beer.
Did I miss something in the OP? Why would you (and your leaguemates) be valuing QB that highly in a 12 team league unless it’s 2 QB or superflex (in which case Mahomes would be the obvious 1.01) or the scoring massively benefits a certain QB profile or something? I can maybe see taking Mahomes or Josh on your 2/3 turn if they’re there, but if everyone else is burning their second rounders on QB’s, let them. Reap the benefits elsewhere and come back and double up on upside QB’s later.
If you have the time yahoo and several others do live mock drafts you can join and kind of see how people are thinking. It's really helpful to see where guys you think are sleepers are going.
He didn't mention the QB scoring. Maybe it's 6 pptd. That's the only time I ever see a rise in QB value to first/second round, besides one or two guys.
Yes it is 6 points for TD and 1 point for every 10 yards in the air......I believe that is standard scoring ? Underdog this league (players) are strange with "LIVE" Drafting....4 QB's went in the 1st RD last year and I'm sure it will happen again this year.....last year I got Derrick Henry at 7th pick in the 1st RD. I always like having a solid RB and then a QB or WR......depending who is available. I have lots of time to do my Homework but I sure appreciated the advice by ALL. Thank You.
That would be specialized scoring. Standard scoring for QBs is 3 points per TD and 1 point per 25 yards. Your scoring would make QBs extremely valuable.
