I follow less than 50 people, so it's a short list. But comedians Roy Wood Jr and Jordan Klepper are funny. Sports commentators Sarah Spain and Katie Nolan are good follows, too. And Olin Kreutz. Between Sarah and Olin, Twitter gives me plenty of cathartic commentary during Bears games.
Assuming we're keeping this to strictly sports follows, mainly just the athletes I grew up idolizing, so anyone from 90s Bulls teams with an account, and a few ex-Bears like Jim McMahon and Mike Brown. None are great follows though. But as far as "must follow" sports related, I got nothing. Andrew Perloff from the Dan Patrick Show has funny/stupid takes on NFL games, that's the only time I get a chuckle from a sports related follow.
Yeah, I've been watching his stuff for NBC Sports Chicago after games, this season. He does a really good job, and probably has a bigger future in the business. His tweets are basically whatever frustration you're feeling about the Bears, but coming from someone who knows their s***. Very validating.
For fun/humor - @NOTsportscenter and former trib writer Steve Rosenbloom For football info - Matt Bowen is fantastic for X's and O's, Olin Kreutz, and Paul Alexander (former OLine coach for Bengals) @CoachPaulAlex. Dude just knows his stuff with OLinemen from X's and O's to bad play. A couple of his vignettes about how to not be an OLinemen involve Charles Leno and Khalil Mack. Baseball - Used to follow a lot for the Cubs, now don't really watch baseball. Basketball - Kendall Gill, Seerat Sohi Hockey - Mark Lazarus Personalities - Dan Bernstein, Terry Boers, and Laurence Holmes from AM670.
Retired right after Fox got canned/Nagy hired because the Chicago Trib has downsized and tons of writers lost jobs. Does a local saturday radio show here. Puts out an occasional smartass remark on Twitter. Always liked Rosie. He could stretch some thoughts now and again, thought he was unfair to Jay Cutler at times, but can't say I hated him. I do hate David Haugh. Never cared for his columns/thoughts. He's mellowed out because he does radio now, so he's slightly more palatable.
