- the Ravens defense is still slowly improving. Macdonald is getting better with his play calls and the execution feels better - Bateman injured again and likely out for awhile. His availability is becoming an issue - Andrews went down with injury but..... - Likely stepped up big. Looked great in replacement of Mark. Could be the next great Ravens TE - Lamar and the passing offense looked off in the first half. Glad to see better play in the 2nd half - The previous note alos applies to Greg Roman. Off in the 1st half, better play calls in the 2nd OTHER COMMENRS - Nice to Browns stomp the Bengals. For all the hype Burrow gets, he needs three #1 WRs to play at a high level. A few weeks ago when Higgins nursing an injury, Burrow looked average. This past Mondat with no Chase, Burrow looked average. - Trading fof Roquan Smith while also getting Bowser and Ojabo activated to the 53 man roster (even though I doubt Ojabo plays for a few more weeks) could see this defense improve to great heights. Can't wait for the Marcus Williams return also. - Will Desean Jackson be activated this week or after the bye?
Do you think Smith is a rental or can you guys possibly squeeze his salary in along with Lamar’s gazillions?
Ehh, right now we have about 40M free next year and can get it to at least 63M with 3 roster changes (Campbell retiring as he's suggested, Boyle getting cut, and one more I can't remember). Considering Ravens always do lower end first year cap hits, year we'll be able to sign both. The real interesting thing is that Smith also doesn't have an agent. I'm surprised they'd willingly take on a 2nd player with that situation
Smith wants twenty million a season. I could see tagging him and working something out, unless they tag Jackson.
