Not a whole lot to write here. Ravens pulled off a sloppy win two weeks ago, somehow winning while throwing 4 INTs. But this week, there's honestly no reason they should win. NONE. Baltimore played Pittsburgh last week, the Browns had a bye week to gameplan for this game and get healthier. The game is in Cleveland. Baltimore adds Marlon Humphrey to the "out for season" list and Patrick Mekari to the injury list. I'd list the whole Ravens injury list, but who has that much free time. I'll say this, Baltimore has about 10 positions where the intended week 1 starter isn't there due to injury. When about half your team's starters were not meant to be starters, you're probably in bad shape. I will add this also, the fact that this team is 8-4 this year is amazing. Some opposing fans have been using the word "lucky" (imagine calling this injury ridden team lucky) but the correct word is resilience. They say it was "lucky" the Chiefs fumbled but ignore that it was punched out by Oweh. They say it's "lucky" Indy missed a FG but ignore that one was blocked and the kicker tried to avoid a 2nd block since Campbell got the same penetration he did on the first block. They focus on a possible delay of game but ignore that the tv and game clock could have been off since not one player, coach, or fan in attendance made any noise live. And that Tucker still had to kick 66 yards accuracy and Lamar had to convert a 4th and 17 beforehand. These fans are going to hate to see a fairly healthy (hopefully) Ravens team next season. Just imagine if Baltimore's injury list was around league average this year. I guess I did have a lot to say . Either way, this has been an enjoyable season to watch. Ravens will need at least 2 more wins in their next 5 games to make the playoffs. If they win today, they pretty much deserve a playoff bid imo, but will they get it? We will know around 4pm today. LET'S GO, RAVENS!!!
Boyle, Ricard, Mekari, and Boykin are 4 of the 5 inactives. Gotta wonder how bad the blocking will look today without them. Jimmy Smith is the 5th inactive and apparently a healthy scratch. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm guessing the coaches feel he's lost his game or something. No way a recentlg signed practice squad guy should be active over a healthy Jimmy Smith.......but I guess this isn't 2014 any more for Smith, skill wise.
I gotta admit . . . That DPI flag on the Browns FG drive was iffy, at best, IF there was PI on that play, it was OPI on Landry.
I try to avoid the conspiracies but wow. First the horribly unbalanced scheduling, now the refs clearly have an agenda. With Lamar likely done for awhile, it's not like Cleveland would need the help at this point.
The scheduling, was unadulterated bullshit. The one sided calls by a referee crew, who's head ref is reported to have grew up outside Cleveland, is also bullshit
For the record, there's no animosity coming from me as I didn't expect to win today. But there's no question that the schedule the last 3 weeks highlt favors the Browns and, to my knowledge, has never been done before between divisional teams. And the penalties have also been fairly one sided which has led to scores
I just watched the hit on YouTube and I can’t see any reason for him to miss time. He was barely touched
You can't judge an injury by appearance. Didn't Ben tear something in his arm without contact a few years ago? Either way, I'm gonna get annoyed by all the "we told you Lamar's style of play would get him injured" posts and media discussions as if most starting QBs, including all AFC North QBs, haven't been injured between 2018 and now
