Wanna be even more depressed...?

When you are a 14 year old veteran and you have the ball on the 10 yard line with :28 seconds and no timeouts there's pretty much two things you absolutely can't do...

    • Throw an interception
    • Throw the ball short of the end zone in the field of play and keep the clock running

Ben managed to do both and what's sad is on 2nd down, knowing after 14 years playing the position that the ball really needs to go to the end zone he somehow doesn't see his shiny, new 21 year old WR phenom turn Stephon Gilmore around like a top LITERALLY in the same line of sight as the 30 year old career disappointment special teamer he throws the ball too...

I don't know why I do this to myself.

The underneath corner is in his line of site when he breaks out of the pressure? Long sigh haha

He threw it to DHB before JuJu even makes his break. Break that pressure, set your feet and find the open man Ben

Ben played a great game overall....loved the scramble for a 1st down late. His touch pass to Bryant for a TD was also a thing of beauty. The Steelers controlled the time of possession mainly because of Ben's short passing game. They just screwed the pooch at the end

    I dunno about this one

Maybe it was “Ben” who stole “Beach’s” cheetohs from the lunch room in high school ....

    :rake:

Pretty tough play to make. He should've thrown it away IMO

Beach is right about Ben. I think Ben doesn't put enough into the mental aspect of the game.

agreed but I'm not upset about that play except I think it's end zone or put out of bounds

Yes beloved Beachbum we need more depression, we are gluttons for punishment.

However IMO, not throwing to JuJu on that play can be justified, he wasn’t open when he decides to throw to DHB. If he felt pressure to get rid of it in that instant he should have thrown it away not to DHB

As they broke the huddle I turned to my two beloved sons and said this pass and if there is a 3rd down play need to be thrown in the end zone. Of course easy for me to say sitting on a couch all warm and fuzzy

At the same time that there is blame for Ben some needs to be laid on the feet of the coaching staff. Ben is who he is and is not about to change. If you know your qb tends to make bonehead plays and you contien nue to call plays where he gets to demonstrate his bonehead ability then you are just as boneheaded. Again spike it kick the field goal come out on ot with a fresh start.

James Harrison was released to make room for Marcus Gilbert. Sad day...I understand the move, but I feel he deserves better...

Agree not quite sure what went wrong here. We never saw enough of him to see if his skill diminished or not. Was it just a signing to keep him from going elsewhere?
