Thought a thread about news from training camp was appropriate.

Ramon Foster went down with a potentially season ending knee injury. Got carted off the field with Ben who was taking an old man's day off. Does not sound very good. Hopefully its not that serious.

There was a camp scuffle between Chickillo and Chukwuma Okorafor.

Conner and Samuels apparently have been taking advantage of Bell's absence and have looked pretty good.

Matakavich and Bostic are splitting time with the 1's at ILB.

Sounds like Artie Burns is having a good start to camp.

It's a hyperextension, and possible slight bone bruise. May be ready to start season! Dodged a bullet! No ligament damage.

Good, it sounded a lot worse in the reports.

One player that I have noticed is not having a great camp is Mason Rudolph. Reading SteelersDepot’s rundown of the practices Rudolph appears to lock into Washington and hasn’t been accurate with the ball. Don’t think he’s thrown a single TD in team drills, unless I missed one. It’s early and I fully expect him to show up in the preseason games, but there was very little mention of him so far. Also sounds like he’s not getting a lot of snaps either so that is definitely a reason for the lack of coverage on him.

Also sounds like the little PR Quadry Henderson is a decent receiver as well. Shows well in the individual drills at least. Just might show enough to justify a spot on the roster.

Edmunds is around the ball a lot in the team sessions. Getting a lot of snaps with Bennet nursing a hamstring injury.

Conner had himself a day. Beautiful 55 yard run during the team session.

Sunday was a great day at camp...even caught some of the air show! Edmunds sure seems like a ball hawk...really nice INT on a pass thrown behind James. Also saw Edmunds lined up at ILB with Davis and Hilton rotating at free safety. Grimble was looking good too

AB left practice with an undisclosed injury. Supposedly its a minor injury, but he did go back to Pittsburgh for further evaluation/treatment. Adam Schefter reported he should be back at practice in a few days.

Funny how the injury is the same time as his son's first birthday. If its minor why does he need further evaluation.

If that’s the case I feel better. I was scared when they said sent back to Pittsburgh because that sounded more than minor.

Adam Schefter is saying it is a strained quad. Not serious.

But again, not serious but why does he need to go back to Pittsburgh? Surely the team trainers can work out a strain in Latrobe. Just strange to me. Don’t doubt that it’s minor and really a non factor for the upcoming season, just odd. I thought they typically did not send players back to Pittsburgh unless they needed an MRI or something like that. Truly do not care unless he is not available week 1 which is not the case here. Just sitting in a training and bored lol

It very well be just a strained Quad. But, based on his importance to the offense . . . they may be sending him back to Pittsburgh for an MRI simply to confirm its nothing more serious.

When I heard AB was diving to make one handed catches in practice I was thinking "why risk injury"? But I guess you can't make those kinds of catches without practicing them. That's why he is as good as he is....amazing to me with the demands he puts on his body that he has stayed so healthy....part taking care of himself physically to a ridiculous degree and also part luck I imagine.

This guy really looks like he has the physical ability, so what is wrong with him that he was undrafted?
