Our 11 are: 1 Joe Greene 2 Franco Harris 3 Jack Lambert 4 Mel Blount 5 Terry Bradshaw 6 Ben Roethlisberger 7 Jack Ham 8 Rod Woodson 9 Mike Webster 10 Troy Polamalu 11 Antonio Brown Coach Chuck Noll Good list, but left off LC Greenwood Andy Russle Donnie Shell Dermonti Dawson James Harrison Heath Miller Lynn Swann John Stallworth Hines Ward Jerome Bettis Greg LLoyd Casey Hampton LeVeon Bell Maurkice Pouncey That is my top Twenty Five. No way I can make an 11 man list Forgot Stautner and Butler from the pre greatness days.
I can make an 11 man list IMO my brother, no one can make a definitive top 11 from the cast we have been so fortunate to watch. Statistically speaking, the players, their perspective positions and the greatness each one has displayed at those positions will make it impossible to pick. Exceptional athletes with too diverse skill sets. your list of 14 + stautner, butler, jh johnson, etc ... you just can't get there from here. What a great problem to have !
How do you even begin to pick 11 guys from some franchises? I mean franchises like the Steelers, Bears, Packers, 49ers, Browns, Raiders and Cowboys (among others im sure) have such storied histories with great players. Newer franchises like the Panthers, Jaguars, and Texans would be much easier I would imagine. I think everyones top 11 would be different sure you will see a lot of the same name but the order is going to change around quite a bit. I thin Joe has to go #1 because he reshaped the franchise. I dont think Ben makes my top 11.
Do not be alarmed by the smoke in the building the is no Fire I repeat the is no Fire, Tim just got an idea thats all folks.
Lambert Greene Harris AB Polamalu Blount Roethlisberger Harris Woodson Bradshaw Harrison 12th Man: Bubby Brister
Joe Greene Rod Woodson Mike Webster Troy Polamalu Antonio Brown Jack Ham Jack Lambert Lynn Swann Jerome Bettis James Harrison Dermonti Dawson This would be my top 11
It’s impossible to pick 11 great Steelers so I declare a 15 way tie for 11th place so 25 Steelers can be on my list. No way I can pick 11 out of our all time greats. We aren’t some crap organization like the Patriots.
I didn't start watching football until the 90s so my top 11 will be from then on. The historic players have been well covered already, though just glancing through I didn't see a lot of love for Mel Blount which I think I would've found a spot for him. Anyways, my top 11 from roughly 1993-present Antonio Brown James Harrison Ben Roethlisberger Rod Woodson Le'Veon Bell Troy Polamalu Greg Lloyd Dermonti Dawson Hines Ward James Farrior Jerome Bettis Just missed: Joel Steed, Jason Gildon, Alan Faneca, Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton
I should be flogged for missing him... clearly an oversight... Joe Greene Mel Blount Rod Woodson Mike Webster Troy Polamalu Antonio Brown Jack Ham Jack Lambert Lynn Swann James Harrison Dermonti Dawson Newly revised after removing cranium from spincter. Thanks to SK
That’s ok I should have my eyes checked. The other lists did have Blount on them...guess I just missed him, my bad
