Reading the various pages, I see so much about the QB race, Garret, and our other two first round picks. I absolutely understand the vitality of the QB position, and the excitement that accompanies first round picks, but there are dozens of other guys on this pre-cut roster that I would love to see more on. The competition for RT, MLB, DT, FS, SS, etc. Pat McManamon always takes the layup in his ESPN columns about the most important position battles, and the like, by going with QB. Yes, it's the most important, but it's not interesting or exciting. At all. Kessler is a back up, Hogan is a runner, Brock 'trade bait' Osweiler is stronger in the arm and weaker between the ears than fellow backup Kessler, and Kaiser is a talented guy that needs to study and work harder so that he can back up next year's first round QB. Got it. We have several guys competing hard for time at DE. How's that going? I'm confident in who the starters will be, but how are the other guys shaking out? Nary a whisper.
Not enough coverage yet is the problem. We know the players, but when you are putting together 5 minute segments on each team, the coverage goes to the sexy battles. Until this team has a solid starting lineup, especially the QB, that's what they will talk about. I wish we could see more also, but this is what we are stuck with until preseason games start and we can start seeing it for ourselves.
The lack of professional coverage is my complaint, not our amature coverage. I'd like to see the press members that have access to see things in person interview the staff about the afore mentioned positions. If given the choice between the QB position and who the grounds keeper is, I'd likely read about fertilizer.
Good to see you here, Gunny! These "writers" are only interested in clicks or views. Period. Talking about training camp battles for Right Tackles or Nickle Corners isn't sexy enough to generate clicks. You want to know why the NFL is a QB driven league? Its because the "writers" make it just that.

I haven't followed camp too much, but I swore I read that Schobert is taking reps at MLB..anyone else see that? I think it was in the PD.
