The good: we might have our next franchise QB Najee and Warren are a good tandem Conner Heyward pat friermuth Our defense Oline improved this season The bad: Miami winning on a fg The Bears, man they got suckered on the trade. The Ugly: Friermuth getting injured near the end of the season.
In my opinion, the best kind of result happened today. The Steelers still won but missed the playoffs. These kids went through some adversity this year and showed a lot of grit.
It’s disappointing that it went down to the last minute to determine the Dolphins outcome. I would have rather the Dolphins show they would win earlier so I didn’t have to ride the rollercoaster
although the playoff experience would’ve helped this young team too. Our division is going to be even tougher next year, the Ravens are always tough, Cleveland will have a full year with Watson, we’ve got really good building blocks for the future, and Cinci isn’t getting worse.
With Waddle and Hill both exiting that game, I would’ve bet the farm the Jets would have taken control of that game. Jets folding like a lawn chair down the stretch.
A magnificent run to end the season at 7-2 but really frustrating that 3 of the 4 teams involved in the 2 games they needed certain outcomes were teams they could have and maybe should have beat - NE - NYJ - Miami and going into today they would have controlled their own destiny. oh well at least they got the 1st pick in 2nd round now with that Claypool trade Interesting what they do with Canada. IMO he’s gotta go. beef up the OL & DL in the draft with high quality big uglies
Well, no playoffs but that's OK. I would've liked to see this young group get to experience that for the sake of learning. Lots to say about the season but I'll hold on for the big GBU. Let's talk today's game. The good: The Browns can't defend the run and it showed. Harris had the fumble but that opening drive was rolling. They did it all day too. Pickett didn't have 50% on completions but on the final drive they converted a 3rd and 10 and two 3rd and 8s. The Browns got within six and the Steelers responded with a killer drive. D put up pressure with six sacks and two picks. They mostly contained the Browns. The Bad: The opening drive fumble seemed to stagger the O a bit. They recovered The ugly: The playoffs and the problems with seeds. The best team will win, I'm sure. Glad to see Hamlin doing well The Jets/Miami game. Not only the outcome but the score too. Congrats Miami but the Bills got a bye. I'm sure the Steelers wouldn't have fared much better, but they'd have been more fun than the Dolphins. Summary: I was glad for the second half of the season, especially the last three games. I wrote this season off and it was good to cheer today. They feel short but oh well. I'm happy to be a Steelers fan
The Good: our OL in 2022 only missed a few snaps for all 5 guys. Only 1 sack allowed yesterday. Pickett had time even though he had som balls sail on him. The D smothered the Browns most of the game , some splash plays but more pressure and better coverage. Pickens is going to get better. 9-8 after starting 2-6. Alex Highsmith finished with 14.5 sacks. Heyward is a beast hope he’s back. The Bad: Najee fumbling, Ndjoku running wild at times. (draft Jack Campbell please) now with no selections in rounds 5,6 why didn’t they deal Rudolph? The Jets game is the one they let get away, hence no playoffs a ton of free agents on the D. Bush is gone and they’re going to have to pay Highsmith. The Ugly: hey Trevor Lawrence Fabio called he wants his hair back. He’s one ugly mofo. Trubisky was a horrible signing he’s a pick machine. Cut him his post game comments say he wants to be elsewhere. Good Riddance Fucker.
Reread the title The Ugly Browns. Fitting. Franchise is a train wreck just like the Jets . They go all in hoping the River card turns out to be an Ace.
