No need to say it Lulz. I knew it was trouble when they signed him.

That's why I stopped talking about the Zug complex. It's been soiled.

  3. Question. Why is almost everything the NHL does grey and never black and white? To me it's really not that hard. Either you're allowed in the crease or you're not. If you are allowed and you don't touch the goalie, it should be a good goal. If you're not allowed in the crease then the call would be no goal regardless of whether the goalie is touched !! Not sure if the goalie was touched? They brought in a thing called instant replay years ago... use the damn thing and get it right.

Sorta reminds me of the kicking the puck versus the directing the puck with your skate thing. What the hell is that? Can the puck go off a player's skate and into the opposing team's goal or not? If yes, then stop wasting time trying to read the goal scorer's mind. If no, then it's not a goal. Once again the league has the ability to make some rules and decisions that need to be made black and white, everything doesn't need to be grey.

  4. Don't even get me started there. The wording in that rule is so vague that having consistent interpretations of it is impossible. What is a "kicking motion"? They've never gone into specifics about what that means. They only added the word "distinct" which does nothing without a clear definition of "kicking motion." I grew up playing soccer and I watch soccer all the time; I know what a "kick" looks like. Let me define "kick" for Pete's sake. Or just make it black and white like '69 suggested by taking "kicking motion" out of the rule entirely. If it goes off your skate it's either always a goal or always not a goal. Make it easier for the referees, players, coaches and even the people in Toronto's War Room instead of allowing for so much grey area and subjectivity.

    I blame you.

I don't know if you guys are aware but Torrey Krug is the best defenseman in the league. He picked number 47 because he's a mix of Orr and Bourque. Also, CJ is the best coach in the league ...which is comical because he's been lambasted repeatedly and been reported to be on the hot seat.

still want a Claude Fathead. A fathead Fathead.

Dallas Stars unveiling new logo and unis on 6/4. Think Im in the minority but I like the ones they have now. Simple w/ the college style lettering and a nice color scheme. maybe the new unis will keep Lehtonen from getting hurt.

That's what I've been reading. Look out Dougie, the "real-deal" is in town. Nothing like a few good playoff games to grossly (it's gross lulz) distort the perspectives on a player.

I think Galiardi has to do a complete rebranding. Dallas quit on the franchise after Hicks. He has to get headlines and local businesses to pay attention to the franchise again. Given the nature of the market, I think it's a very good idea to come out with new uniforms even though I like what they have.

Matty, in that Jagr trade, does that 2 turn into a 1 with a trip to the CF or Finals?

you got that right. Paging Chris Kreider. Chris Kreider. Looking for Chris Kreider. Embarrassing how he stayed down last night and then left the game.

but w/ the young defensemen its nice to see some Bs Dmen skate the puck out of the zone and not automatically play catch w/ the other Dman behind the net as the one and only option. Helping the Bruins transition game remarkably.

that makes sense. i wonder if they'll change the color scheme. i hope not, not enough green in the league as is.

pretty sure the condition was the ECFs. Not ready to mentally get myself there yet bob. this team here is capable of incredible stretches of hockey, on both ends of the spectrum.

Urlacher retired. Didn't know he was that slow. Probably good news for Bears fans not having to watch him struggle in another uni.

St Bigfat had a huge hit on Strahlman last night that knocked him out of the game. For some reason its not on NHL.com's video recap.

  14. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Urlacher's only real value last year was probably telling everybody where to adjust. He had a return for a touchdown and he looked like he had 0-Lineman speed. I didn't understand how much he lost until I saw that. Better off he retires instead of embarrassing himself on the field. I wasn't against keeping him since they were going to keep the same scheme, but I didn't want to see him on the field very often. Urlacher now has time to meet his family scattered across the country and settle up all the child support issues.

    AV finally gets canned.

Why did they wait so long exactly?

  20. tiny typo in the nhl.com report - says he had a total of 17 regulation losses in his tenure with the Nucks. since they had 17 this season, his previous seasons had a total of 0 regulation losses. the clear message here is: if you're not perfect, you'll be fired.
