I stole the Hulk from somebody else and tried to pass it off as my one ideas. I was also hoping to "wow" people with my mad computer skilz which are probably about as advanced as you, Matty, or Rediiis.

    howdy sheriff!

US customs scares me a bit, so i don't mess around with those guys. France and Italy customs are either dolts or they just don't care, so you could smuggle a fully-grown elephant past those guys. i did bring back 4 bottles of absinthe from Prague. the trip started in London, then to Prague, then to Ibiza (met up with some friends there) and back to London for Glastonbury (Public Image, Bobby Womack, Segio Mendes, Primal Scream, Kenny Rogers *not that i'm a big fan, but i can't believe i actually saw Kenny Rogers*). these festivals are an excellent way to experience almost every type of music out there. that's probably the greatest benefit to festivals like Glastonbury/Lolapalooza, etc. it was a really good time. i'm gonna need some at home detox/recovery time.

#10 on the Shaq clip was him making fun of himself for misspelling "period" when he played for Orlando. the Pacers had just beaten the Magic in a playoff game and someone asked him what the Magic had to do and Shaq said, "we just gotta play better, period... P-E-R", then he paused and smiled because he realized that he couldn't spell "period". so, he finished it off with, "I-D." shortly after that, he was doing the RIF (Reading Is Fun) commercials.

99.2 and 99.7 is not some kind of boat anchor. and :p @ the hawks with their accounting tricks. durty cheeturz!!!111eleventyone1!1

i've never left this continent, but i've never had any issues with any customs people but ours. the one guy in mexico was literally asleep on the job, and canuckian customs has always been nothing but friendly toward me and anyone i was with.

i resent alison krauss for making me like a kenny rogers song.

Customs and I used to get along, now I'm on the bad side for when I go to Canada for lying about how much liquor we had in the truck for a fishing trip. Which ever vehicle I'm in gets sodomized now, the vehicle, not the people.

Russell is going to make a nice claim for somebody, about 18 teams would improve with him in their top 7 and most of them could use him as a 6 or even a 5, although I don't recommend him as a 5.

Emery is meeting with the Hawks. I would have to think he's staying, and I'm happy about that.
Raanta was quoted as being willing to fight for a spot in Rockford, so there shouldn't be an issue losing him if he doesn't start this year if that quote was true and sincere.

If they give him 2 years at a lower cap hit, that should be fine too. I can't imagine another goalie emerging in the system in less than a season and a half.

    Kruger got his qualifying offer.

I'm not sure if Beach got his. Kruger's agent meeting with Chicago looking for a 2 year deal, I think one is fine, they'll probably have to move him after a year anyway. If 2 of McNeil, Danault, LeBlanc, and Pirri can't make the roster, I would imagine they would get outside help. Kevin "poop in the stairwell" Hayes is probably a couple years away from being considered. We'll see if Jimmy is still around.

    Galiardi to Feaster.

  15. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Wilson probably couldn't afford him because of cap concerns. Feaster gave up a pick for his rights.

  16. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Are there franchises outside of Chicago that keep their qualifying offers a secret?

  17. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

    Leddy has started negotiations too.

I hope they can work something out with Roszival too.

Stan is putting me in a good mood today.

  18. Unless there are literally ZERO teams interested in Emery I can't understand why he would spend 5 minutes talking to Bowman about returning. Wouldn't he like to be a starting goalie somewhere, prove his worth and maybe cash in on a good contract a year down the road? Emery staying in Chicago would make me scratch my head so hard I think it'll bleed.

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

It depends on the terms. I would think he could do better on the market unless Bowman frontloads a 3 year deal or gives him 1.6 x 2 or better.

Emery isn't going to get a 3 x 2.5 after Backstrom's contract, so it may just be a matter of there not being that much demand for a backup in the market. Maybe he knows he's only a backup at this point meaning anything beyond 2 x 2 is completely unrealistic.

I wish I knew how the negotiations were going, but I wasn't expecting him to come back. He says he really likes winning and he really likes Chicago, maybe he's just eating a few hundred K for a quality of life concern. He and his agent knows that staying in a backup role probably extends his career and gives him a crack at a contract after this one.
