The downside is the Packers got a decent haul for him, but for right now, I'm going to be happy his ass is gone.

Properly pissed off about this. Fucking idiot Jets got fleeced. Rodgers is on the way out, i could've totally lived with 1 more year of him at this point. They wouldn't have got close to this haul a year from now.

This is basically how I feel about it. The Jets caved and gave the Packers way more than they needed to, frankly. I'm glad that prick is a different division's problem, ABSOLUTELY, but I also hate how much the Packers got rewarded for trading him.

It has been a non stop brutal barrage from the media here in NY that the Jets were gonna fuck this up. They had to get it done before the draft. That’s why they got fleeced. 11 games and Pack get next years 1st. What! That’s crazy 2 second rounders should have got it done.

Yeah, my initial reaction was to be happy he's finally gone even though the Packers got a lot for him, but the haul they got was really something else:
    1. Swap picks this year, which brings the packers up 2 spots
    2. They get a second rounder THIS year as well
    3. Next year they will get a 1st rounder. When I heard it was conditional I thought it was on him playing in 2024 or something, no, it's just snaps this year? Of course he's going to play.
    4. They offload his ridiculous salary.

I do think it makes the Jets better, but there's no way to look at the compensation the Packers got and not think they got the better end of that deal by a lot. It makes all those people who said the Packers had all the leverage right, because this is very much a one sided deal. But this is the Jets we're talking about. Why can't we ever fleece a team like the Jets? Instead we make moves like Claypool for the 32nd overall pick.

That said, Love sucks and I welcome the beginning of Packers QB purgatory. Even the Colts who went from Manning to Luck ended up where they are now.

The Jets are a stupid franchise. They panicked then overpaid. Fantastic deal for the packers. Now only if they could draft, and not get another franchise/HOF QB while I'm alive.
