JUST GOT AN UPDATE ON THE STEELERS TAKING A LOOK AT FINLEY. NOT SURE HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS. IF HE IS HEALTHY AND KEEPS HIS EGO IN CHECK I AM ALL FOR IT. I DO THINK WE NEED BETTER DEPTH AT TE
Perhaps they would be interested in him as an experienced veteran. But, if they are looking at him, I think it would be more likely that the Steelers are simply doing their 'due diligence.'
Finley gets a guaranteed $10 million in insurance money if he never plays again. When you consider he'd have to play at around the league minimum or very close to that, it doesn't make sense for him to continue playing.
I watched NLF am and the best plays of 2013 had LeVeon Bell at #68, The one thing that stood out to me was Matt Spaeth eliminating the tackler, he stuck his hat in there and kept driving along with Cody Wallace. They drafted Branchflower to be the 3rd TE, Paulson still blocks like a Nancy and I think he's toast. I hope they use Spaeth more as a redzone target, now that his foot isn't limiting his mobility. I think this is a case of tire-kicking, and it maybe a chess game. If a division rival like Cleveland thinks the STeelers are interested, so are they. Speaking of which, I heard Johnny Douchewipe was stinking up the field and throwing pick 6's. I will stand by what I said, he's a little snot who is going to have some early success until the DC's get more NFL film on him. He's one clean shot away by a big DT from being a shell of himself.
I heard and read Johnny $hltball was stinking it up also. I think they had a debate on yesterday about, why would you give the ball to Manziel if he hasn't earned it? I think it was ESPN, but I didn't watch it. In my mind, the position is won by who plays the best in TC and PS. Why would you just hand the ball to Johnny just because he was a 1st round pick and stunk it up? Which is why I didn't watch it. I thought it was a silly debate from the 20 seconds I heard.......
I like a healthy Spaeth. I think he's a good backup, I also think the Steelers will be needing a starting TE though in the near future. Next years draft would be a good time to start grooming one. Depending on which WRs are available also....... We also have to see if any other WRs step up this season before making next years decisions......
i am 100% against bringing Finely to the Steelers. he is one of the MOST overrated NFL players in the history of the league. he drops more passes than any other TE, he fumbles, he is a health risk, he has a shyte attitude... anything else you need for convincing evidence. i'd rather see the team deal with the bubonic plague than bring him into the fold.
LOL. Every time I read his posts I think of Will Ferrell's Jacob Silj character.
and little Sir John and the nut-brown bowl and his brandy in the glass and little Sir John and the nut-brown bowl proved the strongest man at last the huntsman, he can't hunt the fox nor so loudly to blow his horn and the tinker, he can't mend kettle nor pots without a little barleycorn
Ya know - you got to have a little Blind Faith as you look forward to the Steeler's 2014 season... And darn it... I can't find my way home.... enjoy, one of the idiots
