Derron Smith, FS, at the next level, good open field tackler, ball skills.

ON the menu today, not counting pizza, pizza rolls, pizza chips, and nachos......

Arizona St. vs. Stanford. UConn vs. Michigan and Auburn vs. LSU, one will be live on the spare tv, the other two rolling on DVR.

Notre Dame vs. Michigan State, if you like defense, this is your game. If the Steelers don't tank and pick in their normal range, I still think Stephen Tuitt is a perfect fit. Ziggy's contact is up in 2014.
I am going to watch Florida also, watching Purifoy and Roberson to see who the TN QB targets.

 

Watching a little UNC vs GA Tech.. Eric Ebron TE -real nice one handed catch for a TD.

JMFO but he's better than Lawence Wilson, Trevardo Williams, and Sio Moore, kid is special, and has the size. This Michigan game will be a real test for him.

Last week I was really pulling for the Akron Zips, Muck Fichigan.

Smallwood playing well, Lewan got beat by a UConn DE, UConn has some talent in the secondary, two new CB's with Wreh-Wilson and Gratz going to the NFL. Keep an eye on #85 Uconn, Davis, late round guy who can compete for a roster spot. Just as I spoke, JOnes just picked off a pass.

 

Hey ny, what do you think about Frank Clark, DE, Michigan. He's having a pretty big night and has been their best defensive player this year.

 

He looked good, but one thing to keep in mind, the starting RT for UConn was out, this is a backup he went up against and the level of competion was in question on the right side. UConn had a few guys on the DL that showed some promise as well. But stats are stats and let the Todd McSharts rave about Clark, meanwhile the UConn RDE was going up against Taylor Lewan and doing pretty well.

 

On the watch list.. Mervin Gordon III RB Wisconsin... liked a lot of what I saw from him today... Was fliggin between Penn State and the Wisconsin game... Alan Robinson WR PSU again is impressive.

Any dominant LT available around pick 10? Which tackle do u think best suits the steelers? We could kick Adams back over to the right and upgrade 2 positions then.

A little sad we are already looking forward to the draft but I suppose 0-3 does that to you.

looking at the draft is 365 for some of us.. especially NY - he does a fantastic job of finding guys... See a few posts back re the OT's in this draft....

Kind of interesting to see Beachum in for Gilbert - then in for Adams last night.. I keep posting that these 2 starting OT's are below the line... Maybe next week they start Beachum at LT and Adams at RT - I'd like to see that combination.. Gilbert speads too much time on the ground.. and should start spending more time on the bench.

Yeah the draft is definitely a 365 thing around here. I've not really had much time recently to be on the message boards so il have a scroll through. I've also started recording games to my sky box for the end if the year so I can look back.

Yes I like that combo too, beachum has the best feet of the three and Adams is the best run blocker of the bunch so makes sence to out him in the right. I've said it a hundred times, Adams is a right tackle in this league. I remember when we drafted him I wanted lavonte David and was gutted they went with Adams but he did show promise last year.

If this losing streak continues we are going to get a good player.

 

Well i have a metric f tonne of time on my hands these days, well at least right now and while i wont commit to a warboard thing as i dont want to let people down ( at least not yet, the commitment part) ill be watching a tonne of college tape fromt his week on, i really need to see what the fuss is all about this damn draft class, and i had a year off so it should be fun to do this all again, now...time to see if clowney and bridgewater are as good as people say they are ( its really REALLY annoying hearing people discuss these guys and others and not being able to disucss these prospects properly)

So here is to being one of the idiots again...

i take it BB still throws up weekly match ups or good games etc.

Ok is bridgewater as good as all these reports are saying because if i hear one more comparison to andrew luck i may have to grab the caddy...

Ill do my usual thing and focus more so on the D side as its where im most comfortable evaluating technique,

are there any sleepers we like? ( yep im using we again)

any guys to watch etc

Im just focusing on the basics right now, top 3-5 prospects at each position and ill figure out who i wanted to watch this wekend.

great to see you back involved - the more eyes the merrier.. I like Bridgewater.. is he Luck? not sure about that.

Let me know what you think of the ILB - one from Wisconsin and One from Mich State - I think the Wisconsin one is on the small side... but 2 guys with motors...

Any why the hell would Pit go NT over OL, when its that close, i udnerstand BPA but these mocks are insane, also clowney is coming across like the next iteration of freaking reggie white if you read these reports...THEY ARE COLLEGE PROSPECTS, most suck, the game is figuring out who wont suck when they go pro- everyone has freaking flaws.
