Ravens vs Steelers part 2 Thanksgiving special

Ok, so here we sit on a 3 of the last 4 game losing steak. This is a tough season for sure with injures as well as Covid of course.

I expect us to scrap this game and be challenged for sure. I expect that we will not have the horses to rush the passed thus I see Ben being able to move the ball via the pass and with so many DLine injuries, I also expect that the Steelers will run the ball somewhat effectively.

This one is going to be an uphill battle and it seems to me that with only Gus available, the run game will be plodding and non-dynamic.

I think we come up short, as in the NFL, the majority of the time talent wins out and I think the Steelers just have more playmakers than us at this time.

I can see 27-17 as the final but it surely could be closer than that. This one hurts with big things on the line and our fate in our own hands but I think we fall short this week.

I can surely see us then reeling of a few wins in a row to be right in the thick of the playoff race but I can't see it stating this week just yet.

 

The game has been moved to Sunday. Despite my Thursday evening being ruined, it seems the safe choice.

 

The players out will be out Sunday too.

Annnnnd now it's Tuesday night with a lot of Ravens players set to miss the game, including Lamar

I don't expect this to be easy for the Steelers despite the Ravens depleted roster. The Ravens are well coached and they have lots of pride. I think the Steelers win but it's close.

Argh. They are gonna cancel or postpone this game. How can they not at this point?

 

I would think it becomes the first week 18 game at this point.

If in week 18 this game becomes meaningless it might be canceled but there are good odds it will factor into seeding and would thus be played. I also doubt it will be the only week 18 game.

Its possible the nfl does a hard shutdown for a week or two and pushes everything back. Not something they want to do btu may be forced to do. It might be time to bubble up the teams.

 

At this point the Ravens have announced a bunch more including Andrews and Sneed. I am not sure we will even have enough players to fill the needed positions to play.

If this is played, I assume this will be a slaughter in favor of the Steelers. I predict they will win by at least 5 touchdowns as we have back ups to backups now playing in almost every role.

 

To get through this season the games will have some unfair advantages. Look at the broncos with no QB Sunday

 

The fact that we currently have a lead is shocking and amusing

 

I don't know why Harbaugh used the TO. Ravens should have gotten a FG at least.

 

Whereas I'm not emotionally invested because I never expected a win after seeing who we had on offense, I'm still annoyed the TE didn't catch that pass. Good play by Fitzpatrick, but a competent TE scores on that.

 

Lits of dropped passes on both sides. Sloppy game.

The Steelers haters will be out in force but I'm not shocked about the score.

 

This has been a cursed season for the Ravens between the stupid covid testing causing all kinds of chaos, to players underperforming, then injuries decimating the offensive line to Lamar regressing a bit to just the rest of the AFC having a really good season as well. 6-5 and pretty much out of the race now. GG to the Steelers, they deserved it.
