Today, the Ravens are in London and will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. First, I want fans to remember this game starts at 9:30 EST, so it'll be the earliest Ravens game any of us have watched. In a game many expect to be a defensive struggle, the Ravens still have a slight edge due to QB. Blake Bortles hasn't lived up to the potential Jacksonville thought he had, and he'll be facing the most opportunistic defense in the league, and he'll be doing it without his #1 WR as Allen Robinson is out for the season. Allen Hurns and Marquis Lee will have to pick up a lot of slack, and they'll have to do it against two CBs that are playing exceptionally this season in Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr. More than likely, the Jags will have to lean on their rushing attack behind Leonard Fournette and and Chris Ivory. A rushing attack that won't have to face standout run stopping DT Brandon Williams, who didn't make the trip overseas due to a foot injury. The defense does get some reinforcements though as OLB Za'Darius Smith should be active for this game. On the other side, stop me if you've heard this one before, but the Ravens have more injuries. And the latest one is a big one as Marshal Yanda, considered the best guard in football by most, is done for the season with a broken ankle. As of week 3 in the 2017 NFL season, LT Ronnie Stanley and C Ryan Jensen are the only Ravens starting o-lineman that could have been predicted back on August 1st. The Ravens o-line still has to make it work as they'll be facing a very talented d-line, led by Calais Campbell. They'll have to open up enough rushing lanes for a rushing attack that may be without it's starter, Terrence West (questionable). The o-line will also have to protest QB Joe Flacco long enough for him to find open receivers against a Jaguars secondary that's led by Jalen Ramsey, a player reported to have only been targeted once so far this entire season. Yeah, it's not hard to see why many would consider this a likely defensive battle. Let's just hope Baltmore is on the winning side and can improve to 3-0. For out of state fans like myself, the Ravens website is supposed to be streaming the game for free. Not sure the process, but it's something to look into. LET'S GO, RAVENS!!!!
Okay, NFL network is also has a link for the stream. That takes you straight to the Yahoo stream and it's likely the best stream out of towners will use all season since they are being paid to stream it. Eluemunor is active for this game, Bergstrom is not. So the RG position is even more of a question mark than I would have though. Campbell could have a very good day
I love the overall unity of players during the anthem. Trump may have unified the NFL. Some players took a knee, the rest locked arms. Even the Jaguars owner was down there. And there's kickoff, Jags kick out of bounds lol
Should have said 3 and out for the offense. The defense is also playing poorly. All 3 units have been bad on their first time on the field
Wonder why Bergstrom was a healthy scratch? Also, looks like Brandon Williams is out too. Carl Daveis in at NT.
3-0 Jaguars. Williams never made the flight so he's not a surprise. Bergstrom is a huge surprise. Good enough to be the backup last week and play in place of Yanda. Not the starter or even backup this week. I think they activated Eleumunor just because it's his home town, but idk how Skura got the start over Bergstrom
The Ravens are playing like dogshit. This just highlights how Yanda is such a HUGE difference to the offense.
No defensive push w/o Williams and no protection without Yanda. This game is already looking like a rout.
