Ravens @ Chiefs, Week 14 Gameday Thread

Today, the Ravens find themselves in the classic David vs Goliath matchup, and even the most die hard Ravens fan must admit that it will be hard to imagine David winning. The Ravens travel to Arrowhead stadium to take on the highest scoring offense in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Even though the Ravens are heavy underdogs, it will be a battle of #1 vs #1. The Chiefs do have the #1 scoring offense, but the Ravens have the #1 scoring defense. Unfortunately for Baltimore, this NFL leans toward offense and that's where the big concern comes in. Not only will the Chiefs score, but you have to question how much the Ravens can score, led by rookie QB Lamar Jackson in his 4th career start.

Jackson has had an issue with ball security in his three starts, having 3 INTs and 5 total fumbles (1 lost) in three games, so for the Ravens to win he'll need much better ball security. We do know the Ravens can move the ball well, against bad defenses as that's all they've faced, and thankfully the Chiefs also have a bad defense. The Ravens will try to grind out yards and hold the ball as long as possible against a team who many feel can't be beat by a ball control scheme. If the Ravens can score TDs on most, if not all, drives while keeping the KC offense off the field then they have a punchers chance.

Let's see if today's David vs Goliath story ends similar to the original, or differently.

    LET'S GO, RAVENS!!!

First quarter ends 7-0 with the Ravens within 10 yards of scoring. Not a bad start at all.

Watching from my phone so I'll only be commenting between quarters

Chiefs up 17-10 at the half. The game is probably closer than many expected. The big question will be if Hill returns from injury. If he's out for the game that changes a lot

They need to scheme up good passing plays. KC is focused on the run and even though it's working, you still have to pass on more than 3rd and long

Ravens caught a big break not facing Hunt .... Hill out could be a second big break.

Still though Mahomes is insanely good. Cannot believe how well this kid plays and smart too

17-17 to start the 4th. This game has definitely been closer than anyone would have guessed.

If the defense can get this stop, things will be real interesting

This tricky tacky penalties against the Ravens are getting out or hand. Defense and offense both need one more big drive each

The defense has to h out of this lead. 4 down territory all the way. Play smart and disciplined
