At this point, every game is a playoff game for the Ravens. Baltimore travels to LA to face possibly the hottest team in the league. The Lamar Jackson offense will face a stiff test as the Chargers will be the best defense Jackson has faced. With a pass rush that can get home without blitzing, Lamar's Houdini tricks in the pocket may be needed heavily today if the o-line can't hold up. I actually don't have a long or detailed write up today (have to get a lot of Christmas stuff done before the game). So without further adieu: LET'S GO, RAVENS!!!
Can I say that this is one of those games I am not looking forward to at all? The Chargers are good, rested, and on their home field. Also a loss ends the Ravens season basically, so it makes for too tense of a game to actually enjoy. That being said, I relegated myself to believing the season was over before the Jackson era started, and minus the defense melting down at the worst possible times, this nearly 5-0 run has been a lot of fun. The Ravens definitely have a chance at this game, but I can't put on my homer glasses to think this scenario is a favorable enough one to win.
Pretty much agree on all points. The worrying thing for me is that the only way i see us winning is if we destroy that SD O line and i just dont see it happening, our DB's will get beat and the pass rush is unlikely to get home and therefore rivers will put up points. Then again, any given sunday...or saturday i suppose 2k
That's the kind of thing that annoys me. Crabtree has to make that catch. It's what he was signed to do
Missed FG by Tucker, now going for it at the 3 and not cashing in, a lost 6 points which will be HUGE at the end of this game I fear. You simply HAVE to cash in when you get in close like that, even if it is just 3 points. Maybe the defense can get a turnover here
We should be up 16-0. Crabtree should have caught that TD, Tucker missed a FG, and then we didn't take another FG. That's 10 missed points (we got a FG after Crabtree's none catch
So the stories of the first half: How can you live in nearly the most perfect weather on the planet and have one of the worst football fields out there? The amount of people falling down and slipping (which includes Tucker) is insane. The offense fails at scoring TDs Crabtree and Brown can't catch a cold. What the hell happened to Crabtree? Defense implodes and gives up points. Thank you Jefferson. Glad we have you. The Chargers feel like they are doing a better job against the run than other teams. The stats may not say that, but it feels like it. Overall, the Ravens are playing well against a strong opponent. I just don't think FGs win it here. I understand going for the gamble, but that play call and execution was poor and we missed another 3 points.
