No long write up today. After beating Seattle in Seattle by 14 points and New England in baltimore by 17, the Baltimore Ravens will do one of 2 things today. Continue to stack wins by winning their 5th game in a row for the first time in the Harbaugh era (I think) or forcing people to wonder wtf happened by losing to the 0-8 Bengals who are starting a QB who's never taken an NFL snap. If I had to bet, my money would be on the former, but this is an "any given sunday" league. The big question today is will AJ Green play, and if he does, how much will he impact. Almost time to find out. LET'S GO, RAVENS!!!
I'll copy and paste what I wrote in the game thread when I thought RR1 wasn't posting one. I asked the mods to delete mine. Since RR1 didn't post it, I figured I'd at least open up this topic. Jones has been benched and inactive this week and Turner is active in his spot. This is pretty much his audition, and we'll see how it plays out. Moore is also inactive, and I can't wait until he's cut from the team. I shouldn't have such disdain from a player that affects the game in zero manner, but I think it's just all the stupid and unwarranted hype he's received the past 2 offseasons that grinds my gears. Jaleel Scott is also inactive. Clearly they aren't interested in getting him any reps. I really hope we can see a full 60 minute breakout game from Boykin at some point. He's had good moments and some nice stretches, but he's also had horrific drops and disappeared for 3 quarters of a game also.
Yeah I think AJ was ruled out a couple days ago. It was just a coach smokescreen that he was going to play that lasted for about a day.
You can delete it yourself. There's a [DELETE] button on the bottom of every post. If it's the 1st post of a thread, it deletes the entire thread.
@Tim am I missing something? I can see the delete option on every post sans the OP while movilr. I'm keeping the thread up now, but I'm just curious
To get back on topic, Cyrus Jones needed to be inactive. I can't think of anything positive he's done all season. Chris Moore is a throwaway player at this point, but I was hoping Scott would be active
I guess the idea is they plan to run it like crazy today. Again, a solid strategy based on the teams, but after doing this the first time, will it work as well again? Hoping for no trap game after 2 monster wins. It's why I was glad a bye fell between the Seahawks and Patriots so there was a week of action to discuss and take the shine off what they did in Seattle.
I'm not saying we should be pass-happy today, but it's good to see Roman completely mix it up at the start to send the message that this isn't the same team, so we aren't telegraphing the way to defend it.
Judon is 3rd in the league in pressure. Z.Smith is in Green Bay and some say he's in the DPOY conversation. Kinda wish we could have kept both, but Ferguson does need reps so I won't complain
