It looks like we're well into a "changing of the guard" when it comes to NFL Quarterbacks and I was wondering who you guys think is currently the best in the NFL. Stats and awards are nice can be (and often are) influenced by a QB's surrounding cast. I'm more interested in who you think is the best based solely on the "eye test". To that end, I'll create a series of polls - one for each Division. The top two from each Divisional Round (8 QB's) will advance to their respective Conference Round. The top three from each Conference Round (3 QB's) will advance to the Final Round. You get two votes in each Division.
Are others not getting the idea? Or is it me? In the AFCW there is clearly one premier QB. It is also clear (to me) that the other three are not going to reach the Final Round. Still, 5 votes for Mahomes suggests that the sum of all remaining QB should be 5 too. But, it is 5-1. I voted for Carr and Mahomes; that indicates that four others voted for Mahomes and no other QB. Am I dense? Or does everyone need to be reminded to vote for 2 QB's in each division? BTW, thank you, Lyman, this should be fun and interesting.
Thanks for the clarification. FWIW, I believe that the consistency and the integrity of results in the final voting, would be enhanced if EVERYONE votes for two QB's at the divisional round.
I agree. But I don't know how to ensure that happens. I may have to revise my criteria for advancing to the Conference Round (ie: top six vote getters regardless of Division).
