I posted a rant on the "Monday Morning Quarterback" thread about how the media writers are selling Desmond Ridder short. His debut was rough, but he got better in his second game, showed more improvement again in his third, and even more in the fourth game. So here's the question... how do those three games compare to the 2nd-4th career starts of all the other starting quarterbacks in the league? Four teams have QBs that don't have four starts yet. That leaves 28 quarterbacks for comparison. Here's how their QB passer ratings for their 2nd, 3rd and 4th career starts stack up: 1 Pat Mahomes 137.37 2 Deshaun Watson 116.24 3 Dak Prescott 113.76 4 Justin Herbert 111.03 5 Tua Tagovailoa 105.96 6 Jimmy Garoppolo 95.79 7 Joe Burrow 95.70 8 Desmond Ridder 94.36 9 Aaron Rodgers 85.54 10 Jacoby Brissett 84.47 11 Justin Fields 82.42 12 Trey Lance 81.02 13 Kyler Murray 80.45 14 Matthew Stafford 79.25 15 Russell Wilson 79.17 16 Mac Jones 78.91 17 Lamar Jackson 77.68 18 Baker Mayfield 77.12 19 Ryan Tannehill 75.56 20 Jalen Hurts 75.38 21 Kenny Pickett 70.21 22 Derek Carr 69.04 23 Jared Goff 65.18 24 Geno Smith 64.54 25 Kirk Cousins 64.49 26 Trevor Lawrence 64.4 27 Josh Allen 60.02 28 Daniel Jones 59.92 Ridder is off to a pretty good start.
