People that think every NFL product is better than the best college can offer have never watched preseason week 4.

Bishop Sankey released by Titans. He was the 1st RB drafted in the 2014 draft.

was he that bad? i felt the titans never used him enough and brought him a backup pretty quickly. oh well.

iowa - you must be young to mentioned adam sandler. do yourself a favor and watch the original with burt reynolds. a far better and more realistic movie than the fiasco with sandler.

my Dad served in WWII at the Battle of the Bulge. His brother, my Uncle, was a Paratrooper on the Pacific front and attacked many machine gun posts by the Japanese. They hardly ever spoke of the war. I don't blame them. When they did they never said it was about freedom or democracy of the United States of America. Pearl Harbor was attacked and they enlisted. Now they would've been drafted anyways, but felt that since the US was attacked, it was the real thing to do as Americans. They didn't quote the Constitution. They didn't cry freedom or a right to do something. THEY JUST DID IT.

They served, saw men die and did their job and came home. To lose a life defending our nation is any war is a tremendous sacrifice. The greatest honor their is. I just don't know if they served defending the rights of the Constitution or if they served bc they knew it was the right thing to do. I doubt my Dad was quoting the first Amendment when he was in a foxhole. I know my Uncle wasn't yelling "freedom of speech" when he dropped out of an airplane and attacked Japanese gun posts. I doubt any military personnel is only serving just so any strapped ass, overpaid QB, can make comments and have actions that make him look and sound like a total jerkoff. They serve for our nation to be free of enemies. They lost their lives for our country. That to me is far more important than any right to do bear arms or say anything.

As I said earlier - the right to do this and that is misleading as it's not bottled. Any asshole like CK can say whatever he wants and be shielded by the first Amendment. It's sad, but allowed. CK shouldn't be honored or remembered for this. He has no idea what oppression means. If he did, he would do something with his $16 million dollars towards violence in our country. Build shelters, speak to cops-white and black about the misuse of authority and power, etc. Instead he sits out of our national anthem and cries oppression when black cops misuse power too and whites are beaten down too. He's a disgrace. Thankfully our country has millions of people willing to stand up during our National Anthem. We don't need CK!

    I don't understand what's sad about it.

Isn't the point of free speech that you can speak your mind, even when the majority of people won't agree?

I'm not certain that it's "the point" of free speech, but it is certainly part of it. Free speech also means that we can say we think he's an asshole.

I think he's an asshole too. But I think the fact he can openly be an asshole with free speech is a good thing. Not a sad one.

Yeah some remakes just can't touch the originals

Wow when we move away from politics we can fucking agree

come on bears. i know you're a smart guy. you know what i mean. it's sad that he can say whatever he wants and it's allowed. he can say the most egregious things and it's ok, yet people sue for slander all the time. it needs to be bottled to within reason. if everyone got on tv and spoke asinine statements like CK we would be all for the worse. that's what im talking about.

BOSTON (AP) ? The NFL suspended New England Patriots defensive end Rob Ninkovich on Friday for the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances.

It is the latest blow to the Patriots, who will also be without quarterback Tom Brady the first four games as he serves a league-imposed suspension for his role in the "Deflategate" case.

Like Brady, Ninkovich will not be eligible to return to the Patriots' active roster until Oct. 3 following the team's game against the Buffalo Bills.

The 32-year-old has not played this preseason after suffering a reported triceps injury during a joint training camp practice with the Saints on Aug. 9. He had returned to practice recently, but had only participated in light conditioning.

Ninkovich was a defensive captain in 2015 and had 52 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks.

Actually, the original is one of my favorites. It's one of those movies that if I see it's on, the tractor beam just pulls me in and I'm hooked.

There's always the joy on Richard Kiel's face when he says "I think I broke is f'ing neck". Classic!

p.s. Thanks for calling me young :)

  19. So on top of the 2-4 weeks of regular season he was going to miss with his triceps injury, he'll have another 4 weeks. That's half the season without their DE/OLB/ILB generalist. The Pats have some options, but none as polished as Nink and lose defensive leadership. Chris Long and Trey Flowers have been starting at the right and left ends and Shea McClellan looks like he could fill that generalist role, but probably won;t be the same. Then there's Barkeveous Mingo who looked pretty decent and may find new life as many have in NE.

The Pats D loses flexibility but they have some players. The 1st 6-8 weeks of the season are going to be crucial for them.

The Vikes trade for Sam Bradford. It's probably the best they can do under lousy circumstances.
