Welp, this week I lucked out and was able to pickup Jared Goff for my bye weeks of Alex Smith and Carson Wentz. Now, I just traded Goff for Adam Theilen of the Vikings. (Needed an extra boost for my WR core. So, my question is, what is the better match up between my two QBs? Alex Smith playing the Giants D, or Carson Wentz against the Cowboys D. At first glance, I feel the Alex Smith matchup is a no brainer, but I feel like Wentz is trending up stat wise, while Smith is slightly trending down. Thoughts on who I should go with?
Smith plays in NY and Wentz plays in Dallas. At first, my gut says Smith, but Wentz has been the hotter hand in recent weeks. Will Dallas get toasted twice in a row? Does the NYG even care anymore? Glad its your decision and not mine. I'm leaning, Smith here.
I think you're a winner either way, honestly, but I'd take that matchup for Smith all day...nothing will get his stats trending back up again faster than playing the worst pass D in the league.
Wentz is the #1 QB in fantasy right now. I would go with him but either is good, especially if the Chiefs try to get their run game sorted out vs the Giants instead and stop throwing early.
I'd go with Smith. My reasoning has no logic other than what you might call NFL logic. Eagles look unstoppable the Cowboys are a mess with injuries and suspension so it should be a cake walk for the Eagles which is why Dallas finds a way to win and shut down the Eagles.
Hahaahhahahha. Smith got me friggin' TWO POINTS. It's ok, my team is so stacked I'll still win easy. XD
Lol worries gentlemen. I still won by 50 points. The rest of my team included Jay Ajayi, Alvin Kamara, Antonio Brown, AJ Green, Adam Thielen, and Lions D. The only ones that stunk it up for me was the previously mentioned Smith, Austin Hooper, and Greg Zuerlein. Haha I was even happier about how I got Thielen earlier this week. I traded Jared Goff for him after picking Goff up as a bye week replacement. Best. Trade. Ever.
