I got my first tattoo yesterday evening, and I thought some of my fellow nerds on here might get a kick out of it! Lord of the Rings!
If I'm not mistaken it's what is said on the One Ring in Elvish: One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. I could be mistaken though.
I'm not upset about the linework. He was freehanding that portion and the the picture is at a weird angle. The linework there actually is a lot more straight. Haha. And that is what it says, but it's actually not Elvish. It's Black Speech.
Lol It's funny you mention that, because I was explaining it to the artist and a black couple in the parlor overheard me say that and gave me the dirtiest of looks before I ended up explaining what it is!
i made a bet in 09 that the next philly team that wins the title, i would get a tattoo of. well the eagles won the SB and my buddy, who has several tattoos, is waiting for me to get one. i donn't have any of them bc im a wuss and could never live through the pain.
Honestly, at first because of the vibration of the tattoo needle, it'll feel like someone has a small vibrator against you. HA! After a while it'll worst as your skin gets irritated, and I think it hurts the worst when you begin it getting shaded in. That being said, the calf is one of the best places to get it when it comes to pain due to all the fat and the lack of it being as close to a bone. Afterward, it really just feels like an awful sunburn.
true but I would never deal with the pain. I just couldn't do it. I hate giving blood and that's a little pinch. a 2-3 hr tattoo ? no chance.
my buddy got an outline for a tattoo before he was going to go back to get it filled in. his arm got so infected, he was out of work 2 weeks and on his deathbed. the place he went too was clean and he knew the tattoo artist. just had a bad reaction. he never went back to get it filled in. that alone scares me to NEVER GET ONE.
I'm too OCD to ever get a tattoo. The last thing I need is something extra on my body for me to permanently obsess over. That would be a nightmare.
Meh, I'm the opposite. The sword on my leg in the above picture is only perfectly lined up if I have my leg completely straight. That doesn't stop every nerdy girl on my college campus getting overly excited when they see my tattoo.
