so do i. good stuff. on a related note, if u ever say "infotainment" or "cosmeceutical" in any context other than to diss the term and its users, i will find u and punch u.
lol, never heard cosmeceutical before.... must be a reference to Bill Cosby working in pharmaceuticals?
ok, that went pretty well, except for it not letting me split a post which was on a separate page. so...
bloody hell, rookie mistake. i copied the post text rather than the actual link, which of course didn't work due to a truncated URL. matty, could u please post the link again? i had already deleted the post
Sonny Milano gave a verbal committment to Notre Dame, then changed his mind to go to BC, and then changed his mind to sign with CLB. Is that being a dick?
i forgot that Milano originally was slated to go to ND. I was reading that he is eligible to play in the AHL next year because he hasn't yet played in the CHL, not sure if tarts true or not....bob?
I'll have to look up any changes in the CBA or if there are changes with AHL-NHL agreements. As I understand it, the introverted perspective taking, paranoid, and protectionist CHL has an agreement with the NHL to artificially preserve their standing in the world. Any player from the CHL cannot play in the AHL until they have 3 or 4 full CHL seasons under their belt and must turn 20 prior to the end of the calendar year. I think the rules for the AHL are that players must be 18 and must meet the criteria for the CHL-NHL agreement. Tomas Tatar played for GR at 18 and Voynov played for the Monarchs at 18. I believe USHL players can go straight to the AHL, but I don't have an example. Since AHL franchises seem to prefer NHL franchises to pay player salaries, I can't imagine many, if any, would go out of their way to sign an 18 year old and I don't know why an NHL franchise would want to burn a year off of an ELC with so many other options available in the CHL and NCAA.
lol, I'm guessing CLB won't want to burn a year off of his ELC. I believe once he plays in the CHL, he won't be in Springfield until following Plymouth's season. I wonder how much of this contract has to do with pressuring Johansen. Putting a high-end offensive talent under contract may have been a deliberate move to pressure his camp, tough to say. CLB's front office will be one of the more interesting to follow in the coming years I think. Besides having a unique collection of executives, their ownership situation and market provide for some pretty unique circumstances. How are the BC fans taking the loss of one of their blue-chip freshmen?
Right now, Hayes is the big FA on the market. With about 7 teams interested in signing him. And he has some kind of relationship with most of the teams that want to sign him. He was a 1st round pick by the Blackhawks in 2010 but they couldn't come to an agreement, so he stayed at BC for 4 years and had a great year last season for BC......
