yes-i've seen stills of stolz in the movie bf he was replaced. how do you shoot 3 weeks worth of film bf deciding he wasn't working out? the reshoots cost $3 mil alone. that's a lot for 1985. they wanted MJ Fox the entire time but he was under contract to the tv shows family ties. once meredith baxter birney (who is now a lesbian) got pregnant, there was a slow down in filming. fox shot the tv show during the day and the movie at night and weekends and got 5 hrs a sleep M-F bc of filming for both daily. all day time shots are from weekends. all nighttime shots were obvious at night after he filmed FT all day long. pretty impressive.
