never liked the movie or sequel and the director who was given a bar bc of the screenplay turned into a egomaniac and raving asshole and got blacklisted from Hollywood. Veritas Aequitas - means Verity or Fairness and Equity. It's Latin from Isiah, which Indy almost misspells and falls through the letter alphabet in IJ and the Last Crusade.
Sometimes I think the best thing about that movie is that there's never any in-between for anyone who sees it...it's either one of their favorites, or they viscerally hate it lol. Good job on the tattoos and translations. You're off on the Indy connection, though (and it was Jehovah, not Isaiah...he falls through because he forgets that it starts with an 'I' and not a 'J' in Latin). The connection I was going for was that Sean Patrick Flanery, who played Connor McManus in the Boondock films, played the teenage Indy on the TV series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles
the movie is okay. people went crazy over it and once i saw the special on the director/writer troy duffy and saw how he burnt every bridge he was given, i really hated him and it. the sequel isn't that great either.
in the movie - Courage Under Fire an unknown Matt Damon losing 60-70 pounds to play the soldier and then the soldier on heroin (all skinny). where did his character hide the track marks on his body when he shot up?
I'll guess and say his ass? I saw the movie quite awhile ago and don't remember much except what it was about. But no specifics.........
yes between his toes is right. Damon, at the time was a struggling actor and wanted to make a good impression, so he dropped the weight to get the role. within a year, he was famous and won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting. A year or two after GWH he dropped 70-80 pounds for the Talented Mr. Ripley and combined with this weight loss almost killed him as his organs were shutting down. Doctors said "never again, no matter what!" Speaking of The Talented Mr. Ripley... What Oscar winning actress, who wasn't famous at the time, appears in the beginning of the film and at the latter part of the movie? The answer is not Gwyneth Paltrow.
very good igloo - you were paying attention... Speaking of Blanchett - when she won her first Oscar, it was for portraying a real life person who won an Oscar. Who did she portray?
nice igloo-so you've seen The Aviator! Nice work. time for someone else to step up with some trivia...
3 sites had different answers. And 1 had a different word for justice all together...? Verity is closer to Veritas than truth is and the same for aequitas and equity?
In the movie "We Bought a Zoo", what was the name of the sick tiger Matt Damon had to put down but didn't want too?
