The announcer for the final game was the SAME ANNOUNCER for the real life team. The real team won by 2 pts but were down by a lot and won by playing keep away with the ball and scoring and then playing keep away again - like Dean' Smith's 4 corners. The actor who player Merle #12 committed suicide as his farm was not doing well years later. The only thing the actor wanted from the movie was the #12 jersey, which he had framed. The actor who played Ray Butcher in real life made 2 free throws with no time left to win the State Championship for his High School. He now sells insurance. Somehow Gene Hackman was NOT Oscar nominated for his role, but Dennis Hopper was! For Sports movies - top 3 for me with Rocky and the Natural #2 and #1!
They could make a Commando sequel call it Commando 2 uncovered and have it be all about Alyssa Milano walking around in a skirt going up stairs riding in a glass floor elevator walking down the street over a vent that gust air up.

They did a remake of Embrace of the Vampire in 2013. Didnt see it not quite sure why they bothered to make a remake.
I would put Field of Dreams up there with Hoosiers. Maybe The Natural 3rd. I can't believe Hackman didn't win an Oscar in that role.........
